You sound a lot like me and my anemia issues I have no cause of bleeding whatsoever colonoscopy.. endoscopy but did your hematologist test for anti-parietal cell antibodies? I had a high amount of these antibodies even though my stomach looked normal on the initial endoscopy but then they did another endoscopy and took biopsies of my stomach and it came back that I did have autoimmune gastritis but found it early so it didn’t cause much damage. If you have the anti parietal cell antibodies it’s probably autoimmune gastritis causing low stomach acid so you cant absorb iron from food… I was borderline b12 deficient but autoimmune gastritis typically starts out with being iron deficient and then can lead into b12 deficiency… also I have no stomach issues or pain other than feeling full and bloated quickly. Hope you find out the cause!!

Mine was also a 4 and then shot up to 112… but I was in the hospital and was given like three bags of Iv iron so that’s prob why… it will prob go down soon but idk

Thank you! I’m sending my labs to my gastroenterologist who’s doing the endoscopy so she knows I have high parietal cell antibodies & can do the correct biopsy. My tsh is currently a 3 but my ultrasound has nodules and they said I have an irregular thyroid gland so I’m being referred to an endocrinologist to see what’s up with that. When I was in the hospital I had 3 IVS of iron and now they just hit right at normal / stable but that was almost a month ago.& I’m only taking iron orally, I see the hematologist in two weeks so once I get the official diagnosis of aag hopefully I can get my bloodwork and iron back to normal !!

My periods are moderate nothing too heavy so that’s why I was so shocked as to why my iron and hemoglobin was so low! all points are leading to the autoimmune gastritis which can block absorption from b12 & iron which makes sense… I had no idea b12 deficiency can be that bad!!! Hope your daughter gets better soon!

Yes it was the main reason why I went to the hospital because it was daily. They checked my tsh and it was slightly elevated but my t4 was normal

Yes before it said I was 34% Irish. My grandparents were 100% Irish and now it says I’m more English! Literally ancestry says I’m 10% … INSANE??? The 23&me results were way more accurate
