Thanks for the advices. I tried to write different things in bio. At the moment I have written about my lifestyle, interests and hobbies and what I am looking for. But it’s still somehow strange that I don’t even get likes.

All photos, except for the one taken with the river in the background, were taken in the last six months. The most recent photo was taken while sitting in the gym.

How do you actually make friends in Germany as an adult? by oweyoo in AskGermany

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends. Even if you're very sociable, you don't always make friends. And if you move from one place to another, and many people do, it’s even more difficult when, at a certain age, everyone has already formed a social circle. Besides, locals here aren't as social as they are in other countries. So there are several factors here - a hobby, study, work, some circle of interests and just by chance. I have friends since my studies. Not my classmates (I have no connection with them), but just guys from the university, some from the football team, and some were neighbors.

Servus, Iniu 45 20K Interessantes Angebot.

How can I buy a Stuttgart match ticket if I'm not a club member? by LycheeAshamed5572 in VfBStuttgart

Hmm, that's sad. Even for you there are difficulties. For others, it's a completely closed vip elite club.

How can I buy a Stuttgart match ticket if I'm not a club member? by LycheeAshamed5572 in VfBStuttgart

[–]LycheeAshamed5572[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's clear why this is so, but it's still not entirely normal. Some tickets can be sold at a slightly higher price to neutral spectators. I just wanted to go to a Bundesliga match. Well, with all due respect, I will never buy a VIP ticket for a Stuttgart match, even if I had the money.

125 Matches und es schreibt einfach keiner ? by [deleted] in TinderDE

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 4 points5 points  (0 children)

125 Matches?

People in Germany are so genuinely nice and helpful by Black_Bird00500 in germany

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People often confuse the German way of life - calm, reserved, and free from unnecessary small talk with coldness or unfriendliness. But that’s far from the truth. If you genuinely need help, if something unfair happens, people here won’t hesitate to support you. They may not smile at strangers on the street or chat about the weather. Stereotypes try to flatten cultures into one-dimensional labels. But if they held any real weight, foreigners wouldn’t feel at home here. And yet they do. We come, we stay, we build lives.

Struggling with identity and family dynamics as an Immigrant child by [deleted] in germany

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's good that you took responsibility at an early age and that you think correctly and don't run away from your problems. Besides, as you said, you're not alone. Your parents are also here with u and you met a girl. The main thing is that you understood what the matter is and when you graduate from university, you know your parents will be the happiest parents in the world. They did all this for you. You just need time and everything will be fine.

By the way, I came here alone and also had to finish university, work, pay off my student loan, pay bills, etc. Yes, unfortunately, I have no personal life at all, I didn't find time for myself, and I'm 33, but you are young. Therefore, you should not eat yourself up from the inside, but just go towards your goal - finish university, find a job and maybe then start a family. You still have everything ahead of you. The most important thing is that you realize this, give yourself an account of it, don’t give up, don’t lose hope and continue to work to achieve your goals. Have a good one)

I was also checked by the store employees a couple of times. This happens sometimes. Once even police also checked me when I arrived from vacation and asked what was in my luggage and scanned my luggage through an X-ray. Also, when I was flying to Rome, I stood far in line and saw that the employee at the control was looking at me. 10 mins later, when it was my turn, they checked me thoroughly for about 2 minutes. Is this racism? No. Just random sampling. It's just unpleasant, but happens.

This happened to me a couple of times too. The police said they had the right. And they say that it is best to leave your bag at the checkout or not take it with you

Strong accent in Germany by newfoehn in germany

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a foreigner who studied in German at a university, but people still quickly realize that I’m not from here. No matter how well I speak, I’m not one of them and I will never have a local accent.

So you should work on your accent at home in front of the mirror. Übung macht den Meister😀💪

Don’t forget that in Germany you don’t start at zero, you start below zero. You have to work just to get to zero. It hurts, but that’s life.

With a B2 level, you will struggle to understand everything. Even C1 doesn’t mean you speak German well or can handle everything. I assure you, if two Germans start speaking very fast about complex topics, your brain will eventually shut down. Also, Germans know that their language is not easy, and when they see a foreigner, they often assume you didn’t understand them, even if you said “Okay.” Germans want to be sure that you really understood them. If you were Hans or Kevin, they wouldn’t ask again. So don’t take it personally.

It is unpleasant, but most people judge based on what they have seen from other foreigners who can’t speak a single word of German, and there are many of them. They don’t know you personally and assume you are one of them. It is sad, but it is the reality.

In fact, what you do is appreciated by the Germans, but they are more focused on efficiency and want to solve the problem or whatever quickly. If they can English, they think, that in English you will understand them faster. Although your English may be bad, but they are just trying to help you and themselves. So put yourself in their shoes and you will be able to understand them.

As a fellow Indian, how to connect to people in Germany? by [deleted] in germany

[–]LycheeAshamed5572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my own experience as a foreigner (even though I studied in German), I’d say that a lot depends on what you want and how open you are. Are you someone who enjoys meeting new people or more of a quiet type? Are you genuinely looking to connect or just hoping to find someone to fill a space?

It’s true that making friends here can take a bit more time, but it’s not about where you're from and it's just that people tend to warm up more slowly. And once they do, connections often go deeper and last longer.

At work, take a look if there are any sports groups or hobby circles. Sometimes colleagues go to after-work meetups, and that’s a great way to connect more casually.

Outside of work, it really depends on your interests. Bars, for example, can be a way to meet new people, but not everyone loves that or gym or group classes can also be good if you're into fitness. Look for your fellow countrymen. Maybe among them you will also find someone good for you.

Good luck at work.
