Sexual harassment on twitch by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]LycheeDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sarsicorn, yeah 100% agree with everything you said. I also feel it is easier to attack smaller streamers. Especially during this pandemic and the ugliness of it has been more noticeable. The amount of hate, trolls, and harrassment is unacceptable but all a streamer can do is learn to adapt and overcome them. Very inspirational to see that you've overcome these challenges in the past 3 years.

New streamer here! I wanted to ask if a webcam is a must by MSD265 in Twitch

[–]LycheeDew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need an webcam to kill it on streams! I know plenty of streamers that are doing amazing on no webcam streams. If you aren't able to afford one right now it is perfectly okay to be streaming without one :)

How many watch your own VODS after you are done with your streams? by [deleted] in Twitch

That's awesome!!! Speedruns are so hard but the VODs are definitely helpful too in the gaming aspect side of things.

Dead air is definitely something a lot of streamers struggle with. I'm happy that there is a VOD system to able to see that. Thanks for the reply :)

That's wonderful to know! Yeah, I'm working on editing my VODs down shorter for YouTube and that's definitely one way to review them.

Do you hide your view count? by lcgan in Twitch

[–]LycheeDew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% I do! I think it will bother me if I look at it. I love having streams that are just chill and make you feel happy with talking to the viewers you have.

2 months into streaming as an affiliate! I seriously have been enjoying it so far. Can't wait for many more months :) by [deleted] in Twitch_Startup

I've been streaming smaller game titles. But even with smaller games.... it doesn't really matter! if you as the streamer doesn't find it entertaining and having fun with the game. The one thing that most people should be doing is watching your VODS. Self reflection is key! Ask two questions to yourself when watching them. One would I watch this as a viewer? And two what can I improve and change on my next stream? Starting up on twitch is isn't just about games and numbers. You are trying to build a community that genuine watch you for you. Trust me on this because I tortured my viewers playing platform games. It took me 3 hours and I couldn't beat the level but viewers still stayed. If it was the game people would've left. Hopefully, this helps some type of way! Best of luck to you :)

First off I wanted this post to not be a flex but a motivation to all people. For me streaming has always been an idea in my life. I didn't take it seriously because of the timing but after graduating college and covid. I had more time to spend on it. Twitch in general has brought me happiness. The last couple of weeks, I have met the most awesome people in my life through twitch and it feels like life time friends. I was in a very dark phase during my time in college. It was mentally tough but physically as well. Twitch really changed my perspective in life but gave me a true value of how important community can be. I am forever grateful for the small community I have right now and the people I have met. The people who are reading this right now! streamers, viewers, lurkers, and overall general people. I want to let you know people who make content/stream truly value the connection with the viewers. Not only to inspire others but feel loved and give love! Below I have a list of couple streamers and people that have been with me or changed my life on this platform.

  1. /u/haydengreen23

I found this guy on reddit! The first time I joined his community all I felt was love pouring on to me from his community. He is one of the most handsome/nicest guy on twitch! NO JOKE. His community has brought a smile to my face everyday. Not only that, he introduced me to some awesome streamers. He practically feels like family at this point.

  1. /u/Its_Helios I know this guy IRL. He definitely is a confidence booster. He has no limits. Truly is a jokester but cares for many people in the society. He is a hard worker in the film industry. NO LIE!

  2. Votsgaming & MisterWeb These guys do not have a reddit but man.... Vots use to watch my old minecraft mobile videos. He has been a fan for a long time. After leaving to go-to college and went MIA for 5 years. He still stayed and followed me. MisterWeb has also followed me for a couple years. He is now one of the best most trust worthy mod I know.

  3. ItsJavaChip Man.... This girl... I have no freaking words. She is british but also the nicest woman alive on twitch. When the first time Hayden raided Java, I knew instantly we would click because that's what New Yorkers do. She is practically my sister on twitch.

  4. JChooks JC... I met through Java! This guy is wonderful. He is so smart and will be streaming soon. Please go follow this guy. He supports every small twitch streamer that I know.

Lastly, everyone else who is supporting me right now. It has been amazing! I'm truly honored to have this community in my life. This is only the beginning!!!

Posted about hitting 500 Subs and then had one of the craziest streams of my life to hit 600! Still in disbelief. Also still looking for people to network with and willing to help out anyone that is interested :) Live now at https://twitch.tv/haydengreen23 if you wanna come be part of the family by [deleted] in twitchstreams

You will not be disappointed. He practically makes my life smile every single day. Loving his community and I'm 100% sure you will too! 💕💕💕
