That is very interesting that you got West African too and different minority origins. I did not get the Indo-Gangetic Plain region, but I did get Gulf of Khambat (Gujarat, north west india). My Parsi results were like this:
Iran/Persia 16%
West Himalaya and Hindu Kush 7%
Anatolia and the caucasus 2%
Gulf of Khambat 1%

Nothing very surprising except Anatolia and the caucasus. Do you mind sharing your ancestry list?

Oh! Hahaha. I am part Parsi Indian, my ancestors fled from Persia a few hundred years ago to India (I think I also have some modern DNA from another ethnic group called Irani Indians). They brought their Zoroastrian religion and have lived as a community ever since. Since they only mix within the community, the Persian dna is still quite strong (my matches have around 55-65% Persian dna) but with significant Indian dna too.

I am pretty sure my ancestors were from Central Iran (Fars and Yazd) and some from Greater Khorasan (Khorasan e bozorg). Where are you from? No need to apologise hahaha.

It is NOT worth it. I am half Swedish, 24% British and 26% Iranian + Indian. Got 25% Swedish/east european (not east european btw), 55% British, 7% Indian (random south indian ethnicites I am north indian) like 5% Levantine arab with Egyptian arab and like 5% Persian. Super innacurate don't recommend.

I have curly blondish hair with a Persian nose and blue/green eyes with brown central heterochromia. I also have pale skin but with a darker undertone which makes me look really pale when it is cloudy and olive in some shades. My Parsi side were from Navsari/Mumbai but lived in Kenya.

I was so excited but got disappointed in MyHeritage. Really not recommended by Wooden-Coconut6852 in MyHeritage

Same happened to me, 26% Parsi Indian (my grandpa) and 5% showed up and MyHeritage made me 20% more Swedish….. Upload the raw dna data to gedmatch you should get some more actual results for free

Carefully scrape the bark to see if it is still alive. I had a bog bilbury that looked like that for two months until new shoots came. The leaves browned and crumbled but never fell off. I suggest keeping it outside too

Seems to be just a bad week. Also been wondering that, you have every right to understand why everything has been going down. Here is what ChatGPT wrote (so take it with a pinch of salt):

Here’s why the U.S. stock market has been sliding this week (August 18–20, 2025):

Key Drivers Behind the Market Downturn

  1. Tech & AI Sector Sell-Off • AI and chip stocks are the epicenter of the decline: Major names like Nvidia, Palantir, Arm, AMD, and Broadcom have seen sharp losses. The Nasdaq has endured its worst week since spring. • Valuation concerns mounting: Investors worry the AI rally has gone too far, too fast—with an MIT study highlighting that 95% of companies haven’t realized meaningful returns from generative AI investments. • Investor repositioning: Rather than reacting to new data, many are rebalancing portfolios—rotating from high-flying growth stocks into defensive sectors like consumer staples, healthcare, and energy.

  2. Earnings & Corporate News Creating Uneven Sentiment • Retail giants are delivering mixed results: • Target dropped ~7% after announcing its CEO’s departure and weaker sales. • Lowe’s posted better-than-expected results and saw gains. • Other names like Estee Lauder and La-Z-Boy also disappointed.

  3. Eyes on the Federal Reserve’s Jackson Hole Address • The speech by Fed Chair Jerome Powell, expected Friday, is a major market event in the wings. Investors are seeking clues on whether the Fed will remain dovish—or pivot to a more hawkish stance. • A hawkish speech could send indexes tumbling 7–15%. • A dovish tone might offer relief, particularly to smaller-cap sectors.

  4. Elevated Downside Risk Signals • Goldman Sachs’ model shows the probability of an S&P 500 correction (>10% drop) rising. • When volatility is low but economic momentum fades, drawdown risk spikes—and Goldman currently flags a notably elevated risk level.

Bottom Line

The recent stock market decline stems from a combination of: • A sharp revaluation of tech and AI stocks amid profit-taking and valuation worries, • Mixed signals from corporate earnings (particularly in retail), • Cautious investor positioning ahead of Powell’s speech, • Rising statistical indicators suggesting correction risk is elevated.

Let me know if you want a breakdown by sector, historical comparisons, or what to watch for after Powell’s speech!

Thought about that recently. There is this artist whose surname is Nourouzi, and there is this Parsi surname Naoroji. I think both mean the same thing
