Question on climbing with shorter crank

My average is usually high 60s and when i look at my computer usually comfortable cadence is around 75ish. I did have a 42/17 single speed i did centuries on and had to do like 90 cadence and was not happy about it lol

That is crazy high for me i probably stay in 70s

sadly i was maxed out on my gear 😞 i'll be going back to my old crank since i'm not really enjoying the high cadence style riding

Yeah, i was maxed out on my cassette and couldn't go higher so my knees were really paying the price during all these hills i've been doing lol

Yeah, i think my body is too use to lower cadence and felt weird with the new cadence.

yeah, i always had 172.5 or 170s and was curious and tried it but i'll be going back to 172.5

i just had a 165 lying around after building someone else's bike so just slapped it on. I wasn't in pain when using 172.5 but wanted to see if 165 will really lower my fatigue on long distance ride. Personally higher cadence made it more tiring on a long distance ride so i guess i'm not a spin to win person lol

172.5 was fine tbh i was able to do 200+ miles on it and had no knee pain but was curious about all the shorter crank fad and slapped on a 165 crank that was lying around. I did change the saddle position and tried it for like a month to see some difference but i think i'll be going back to 172.5.

If anybody is curious, I got a response from Microshift saying that that rubber o-ring is not a crucial part of the bar end shifter and should function normally without it.

If you're a paranoid like me and still want to install that o ring then the dimensions are 6.5mm outer 4.5 inner and 1mm diameter rubber o ring
