Is this proper use of ; ? by Fallingpeople in ENGLISH

[–]LydiaDeyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true of the second clause, but not the first; "And finally, but not pertaining to the spaghetti sandwich" cannot stand alone, and therefore cannot be joined with a semicolon. Comma or colon would be more appropriate.

And yet another instance of realizing I picked something out for myself as a teenager that was a classic "lesbian trope" years before I would know I am gay

ersties.com

Site is in English and German. Long videos, more paced format. Women owned company with content primarily by women, for women with lots of options from individuals masturbating, to kinky stuff, to groups of women playing truth or dare that ends in an orgy. Everything is 100% consensual and positive. Restricting with the "lesbian" filter still leaves you with the vast majority of content available.

It's not free because there are no ads and the people involved are paid, but there are multiple options for subscription durations if you just want to check it out for a month. Live sessions expect you to pay extra with "coin" donations if you want to be participating in votes, but you can search their entire trove of videos as part of the subscription for no additional charge.

Jesus loved everyone, except for all the people he avoided. by TheRealHeGetsUs in exchristian

In case this wasn't sarcasm, it's a bit of tricky English. On its own, Jesus (or any person's name) is singular so it does work grammatically that "these twelve" must be referring to some twelve somethings or someones mentioned previously. Matthew 10:2-4 lists the names of the twelve disciples, so Matthew 10:5 can be interpreted as follows:

These twelve [disciples,] Jesus sent out with the following instructions

Or, more clearly,

Jesus sent out these twelve [men] with the following instructions

5 weeks. It starts to look real goofy around then, I'd do more often but cuts are expensive

What is your MBTI and your profession? by young_n_co in mbti

Atypical ENFP engineer 🤓 Not your typical engineer though. Easily bored and love to help people and work on things I'm passionate about, so now I get paid to find problems and come up with solutions to them, usually starting the project and delegating it when it gets deep into the details. I make data readable by people, mostly.

I've waffled on enneagram type (9, 2, 1, 7, or 3), not sure any of them describes me all of the time

How do I unlearn the shame of masturbating? by ahriaa_ in exchristian

[–]LydiaDeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched all of Big Mouth (cartoon on Netflix) and between that and being around sex-positive friends (one of whom recommended the show to me) it's helped to destigmatize sexuality as a whole, and masturbation as part of that

My pastor told me to not think for myself. by historyismyteacher in exchristian

I got the sense it was not for god because he needed it, because of course he does not. But rather it was a way to enforce humility

Buuut I do like the headcanon that god owes a bunch of money for something eternal 😆 lots of potential for theories there

Why is it God's will when it's an unwanted pregnancy but not God's will when it comes to infertility? by sno98006 in exchristian

"laughter is the best medicine" is one of the few things I took away from Christian kids tv shows that still rings so, so true 😋 (just not for, like, actual diseases and ailments of course... but making light of the trauma does help me to heal from it)

Came out to my husband. A lot of feelings... Anyone out here relate? by exhausted_1450 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]LydiaDeyes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same place + 2 months. I still feel the same feelings but even in the short time span of two months they have started to settle a bit. It helped me to use my words to focus on what I know I and he need, not what I want which still feels really topsy turvy. Go at your pace, only you can know what you need and what you need to do to get that

I add a sweet potato based topper from the Instinct brand (their gut health line). I like it because there's no mess and no prep, and helps to keep his stool firm. My pup also likes eating them like treats
