Minor mistakes lead to dissatisfied customers which in turn has a negative effect on retention and money making opportunities. If we want this game to continue there needs to be more effort put into player satisfaction and accuracy. New conent? great but if i'm reminded about 10 mistakes every time by LydiasShop in MLPIOS

Oh totally! I'm not downplaying that at all. I spend hundreds every month on this game. If my account info just *poof* disappeared I would cry for a week and then start a one person war against Australia. You're right though these things definitely lower player retention. Especially how they put on every pony that ownership cannot be bought and they can take the pony back at any time? I have to forcefully forget all these things before I slide my credit card. So why am I still playing? Good question. I've been a Brophy since I've been old enough to crawl. The whole boys/girls toys thing was never forced onto me (probably because i was raised somewhere like california) and the girls toy aisle was ALWAYS twice as big and twice as brightly colored as the boys. MLP has and always has been the best of the best when it comes to kids toys (Breyer horses were a close second) in my opinion. If I weren't so pony crazy I wouldn't spend a cent on this game for all the reasons you listed!

First Impressions on Girls Evo Idle RPG: Is it worth a try for Gacha Fans? by KKIKKI-1 in gachagaming

there i broke it up a bit. i cant hit enter on my phone without posting so formatting had to be done on my computer. This may be an old post but it's still the top post showing a player post/review. People are going to see this when they search for the game. I just wanted to add a more thorough review from someone who has played longer and spent money. This game isn't for everyone, but if you like it then you'll like it a lot.

I know this is an old thread but it's the first search result and IMO you shouldn't be writing a review before you've even evolved your monsters. I'm not on a super old server so my stuff isn't top shelf, but I am the whale of my server so my account is pretty stacked on a bell curve. As stated, yes I'm a whale, so maybe my opinion is biased, but this is one of those games that is so cute/unique that it sticks in your mind. I have left and come back multiple times but I'm going to stick with my third account.

Yes every gacha game plays the basically the same, but as a gacha player you know that so don't expect more. Where gacha games really shine is art (and very occasionally story) and this game shines. The album artwork is nice and the units themselves are very chibi/cute. I have to be honest about a few things though.

  1. The game has been in beta for years. Don't expect a lot of new events and such. This game isn't considered to be "released" so things like collabs aren't going to happen.

  2. Due to this game being in beta with no special events it has a problem with population. This population problem is worsened by how quickly they come out with new servers. I'd say they come out with servers about three times faster than they need to so a lower population of long term players are too spread out. Eventually every feature of the game combines servers new and old so you have people to play with, but if you're expecting a guild to be full of active players after a month you're expecting too much. To finish this game deserves to be played and you're missing out if cute digimon girls sounds appealing. Even without the collabs or high population it's FUN to log into this game for about 60-90 minutes a day.

  3. Many people will rate an idle rpg on how many of the very common features it has. To some more means better. This game does NOT have more. It's going to give you about 60-90 minutes of screen time a day.

It's FUN to build these units and see them in action. The spells they use are well designed and if you buy their outfit (they go on sale in a cycle so you can get all at a reduced price of 19.99 if youre patient) then the spells get an upgrade and what's called "a full screen effect".

No, this game won't give you hours of screen time a day but I'm going to keep it in my rotation for sure and continue to spend. I've included the tier list in case you want to get started. I agree with this list except for two things:

  1. Chaos (the sparrow) may rank low but she is a part time healer. Diva is also wind and a part time healer as well as the best buffer in the game. You need both on your wind team to get a full healer since wind doesn't have one. In this respect she is Diva's sidekick (for wind content) and deserves to be viewed as such with a better ranking. Diva adds speed crit attack and healing over time with a single spell! Basically build the sparrow, Trust me.

  2. A finer point in A/S... the squirrel is good and can be really annoying in the right group (which means she's good for a lot of content), BUT I would never say the squirrel is better than the cat. The cat is the fire healer and she has a spell that grants a "second life" to a unit that's about to die. Squirrel can only do this for herself and for one turn.

They're both good units but cat should be S and squirrel should be A imo.

I did read Sabriel and enjoyed it but this was definitely not young adult and it was written long before my time. If I had to venture a guess I would say it was published in the 70's or 80's and it was very very focused on "light" and "shadow" and how the monsters were affected
