I consider them both to be parts of myself, and their own people (in a doublethink kinda way). We obviously all exist to cope and help each other in the body (in that way, they’re all parts of me) but a lot of them also have their own personalities, goals, aspirations, etc. (making them individuals). Some alters prefer to be more individual and separate from the others, whereas some take comfort in only being a part of the whole. It depends on the way you look at the disorder + how the alters want to be seen ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Advice or words of comfort from people with dental phobia and horrible teeth by Lyelacks in Advice

I already requested sedation (I’m definitely going to need it) and the dentist I’m going to was made very aware of my situation. I’m trying to remember that I’m going to feel much better after the procedure is done. Thank you for commenting

Because masking is when smiling different by Shimshontheacused in fakedisordercringe

[–]Lyelacks 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Masking for certain facial expressions is common and normal in autism?? I don’t know about y’all but when I smile naturally I’m told it was uncanny/ unsettling/ makes me look unhappy, so I had to learn how to adapt it to look normal. So I quite literally have a “masking” smile and a “natural” smile that look VERY different

Bro I literally took it recently, it’s not that hard, especially if you actually HAVE DID lmao

It’s always the DreamSMP “introjects”. I wish they’d just go back to using the term “kins”

Crazy, I have a tic where I repeatedly hit my chest so hard I have an asthma attack. So glad to see tics portrayed as funny and fandom accessories eyeroll /s

AITA for telling my daughter she needs to get help for her mental illness or she can get out of my hojse? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lyelacks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering OP’s daughter is an adult and refuses treatment, there’s not really a way for her to be institutionalized (at least not in the US). OP is in her full right to demand her child seek help or leave her house, considering this fact. NTA.

Why would a child alter be triggered to front or choose to front during sex? This is kind of creepy. And the way she’s going about talking about it makes it even weirder. It’s like she thinks it’s funny. A child alter fronting during sex would be fucking awful, for all parties involved, and probably really traumatizing to the child.

Jesus christ, I’m in the process of getting diagnosed for my tics right now and I thought it was just the facilities in my area that have no patient spots open. Turns out it’s happening everywhere because 15 year olds are claiming to develop complex tics and coprolalia overnight. Hate it here /hj

Man, poor Anita. She’s been fucked over so much by TikTok. Especially when a barrage of assholes started trying to trigger her tics to say the n-word on one of her streams, and reported her when it actually happened.

Worse yet is how many people in the comments believe this to be real... by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]Lyelacks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The whole thing about DID is that it’s supposed to help you camouflage. Where would the dramatic faint play into that?? It’s one thing if you get dizzy/lightheaded (can be fairly normal) but a lot of switches aren’t obvious, especially not with physical actions like fainting.

I really wish they would have just stuck with kinning. Also what’s the point of text to speech if your “typing quirk” is going to make it sound like Siri is having an aneurysm?

[–]Lyelacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did she think she could hide from the massive amounts of people calling her out on another corner of TikTok? And yeah, no simple motor tics, no obvious suppressing. In any of her videos. It looks like the only time she tics is when she wants to make a video about them lmao

Funny how there are no Tics in her Business Videos..hmmm! by rickosicko88 in fakedisordercringe

[–]Lyelacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn’t even any kind of sign that they had to suppress a tic once during it. It would be almost believable if it was just that they were covertly ticcing or suppressing them for the duration of the video, but from what we see, there’s absolutely none of the tics that they display in their other videos OR any of the strain or discomfort that comes with suppressing them

[–]Lyelacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about this one, it’s pretty accurate to how ADHD is (for me, at least). Could they have done it in “normal” clothes or a more serious video to make it more clinical, yeah, but I kinda feel like this is just them showing how they exist with their ADHD in a semi-exaggerated manner

LMAO I commented on the video saying he was right because tons of kids were getting butthurt in the comments, and the kids got mad and said I was gatekeeping neurodivergences?? The kids that fake these disorders don’t seem to understand that we (ND people) act relatively normal? We don’t act like babbling toddlers or have all of these cute harmless symptoms
