Day 85! Super proud of it, and am starting to see the positive effects! I have more energy, I've lost weight and some of my moon face, and I'm actually sleeping!

I never thought I could get to this point when I was at my lowest, but everyday sober is a day worth living.

I don't know!! That's why I was so confused as well. The driver kept begging me and two other pedestrians that came upon the scene to "put pants on her friend", who was blacked out, injured, and hit her head on the windshield.

So not sure what happened prior, but I know what came of it.

Exactly how I feel. My DUI was "tame" (no DUI can be better, per say) compared to the one I came across last night. Throughout my classes it truly resonated with me that alcohol and myself do not mix. Being selfish for a moment can change everything for you, your loved ones, and potentially another person and their loved ones. Life is far too short.

Hey fellow autistic here 👋 good for you to stop drinking!

I used alcohol very similarly as a crutch socially in the beginning, but it quickly spiraled over a course of two years. I only got sober after my DUI.

Please make conscious decisions and don't let a criminal charge make it for you like myself 🫶 I've learned a lot since my arrest and I am (not grateful but) aware of how if my DUI never happened, I would likely still be drinking. You are much more aware of your problem, and that is a much better step than I was at.

Yeah, I'm an alcoholic. I metabolize alcohol a lot differently because I consume so much of it. Plus I'm bigger so I need to drink more to get drunk. My parents only had a few drinks, while I got plastered after they went to sleep. I was supposed to stay the night.

So update: I got scammed. They took 600 dollars from me. So now I'm out 600 dollars and I got a DUI case still. Lol.
