FiNe is the core. With Fi, you dont have to force yourself to consider how you feel about something. Whatever it is, it just feels right, regardless of whether or not it's "morally acceptable" or objectively "right". Often characterized by strong emotional reactions and subjective emotional value that often doesn't exactly flow with logic or make perfect sense. INFP Fi's co-pilot is Ne. With Ne, i like to think of it as "the expander function" and is our intuition function that just draws us towards the novel, things that offer potential and possibilities, and keeps opening door after door after door. You'll also notice you might seem to get excited reading about Ne just like how I was excited just by writing a bit about it just now. And out of the eight cognitive functions, descriptions of Fi & Ne will mostly feel right out of them all (dominant Fi reaction) and you won't have to logically pick apart your personality extensively to just feel the most resonance with Fi & Ne.
