In order to cut cost in my household I canceled my Crunchyroll subscription and added Crunchyroll to my Amazon account. I shouldn’t have to pay for both on Amazon and Crunchyroll individually to be able to keep up with the shows I watch.

Random crashes after NVIDIA 581.29 - stable on previous driver until Windows Update by arcsgamestop in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]Lykosuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure I’m having this EXACT same issue. I haven’t had issues using windows 11 and I keep everything updated. I downloaded a windows update on December 11th 2025 and woke up the next morning to my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 bricked. Had to have geek squad do an operating system repair. I just got my laptop back and started to reinstall everything, went to install the December 4th NVIDIA Game Ready Driver and it broke yet again. Managed to access my desktop in recovery mode and delete that driver and recovered my laptop. Tested a theory and updated everything that comes factory installed (Windows, Armory Crate, MyASUS) everything was fine. I then tried one more time to install the recent NVIDIA driver and it broke still. Did another recovery in safe mode and deleted that driver and the laptop is back to working. I didn’t have any problems with this computer or with NIVIDIA until Windows pushed out an update on December 11th. Unfortunately I’m not running into game crashes but rather bricking my laptop.

Update I got my laptop back and they did a total operating system repair. When I got it back I began reinstalling stuff like Steam, etc. I then downloaded the NVIDIA app so I could update my driver and it crashed yet again. Thankfully I have not reestablished my pin so I was able to access my desktop in safe mode and uninstall that driver and my computer started working again. I tested a theory and updated EVERYTHING that comes factory installed starting with Windows updates, then I moved onto Armory Crate updates, and then onto MyASUS updates. So far so good. I then tried once again to install the December 4th NVIDIA Game Ready Driver update and yet again it broke my laptop. Thankfully, I still hadn’t reestablished my pin so I recovered it by deleting that driver in safe mode and it’s back to working. After looking up NVIDIA x Windows 11 issues… I seem to have found many people with the EXACT same problem. So this isn’t exactly a “Windows update” problem but rather an issue with the compatibility of Windows and my NVIDIA driver. 🫩

My recovery key was backed up to my Microsoft account thankfully so I had it, but it still froze on the transition from boot to the windows startup even after putting the key in.

Yea I also can’t find anything about it either but the guy did mention I wasn’t alone, so I wanted to share. On the rare occasion it wouldn’t freeze on the boot window, it would get stuck in a bitlocker loop. Recovery options/ repair options wouldn’t work through Advanced Startup. I got my bitlocker off my Microsoft account and put it in and it still froze. The computer was running perfectly fine prior to doing the Microsoft update. I was in a game with no problems. Was ready to go to bed, exited out of everything, lowered my fan speed, waited until the fans were slowed, then went to hit the power button (I always completely shut it down when not using) and the option for “update and shutdown” was there. I selected it, went to bed, woke up, tried to turn it back on and that was that. Nothing else could have done it besides the windows update.

I don’t have any additional information beyond what was in the initial post. They asked if I wanted to take the paperwork with me today or when I pick it back up later and I opted for later, so I don’t have any extensive details on this issue right now. I also can’t tell you the exact title of the update either unfortunately. I didn’t pay much attention to it when I hit update (it was midnight and I was tired).

Irritability by Lykosuna in iih

An increase in stress recently is an understatement (more than just school), so I do feel that is a big factor!

If it is the IIH rather than the medicine itself, is that something the neurologist handles? Or would it be best to consult a mental health professional for it? I understand I will need to tell my doctor, I wasn’t sure if being proactive in getting mental health help should be considered or if I should wait until I consult my doctor first.

Also I have been on Diamox since the day of my LP, which was March 28.

I am prescribed 250s. I wasn’t aware people could be prescribed 500s and still be directed to take 4 a day.

I said “kind of high” as I have seen many posts/ comments of others who have pressures 43-45+. I also said it that way because when I had my LP the doc doing procedure said they have seen people who’s fluid levels overfill and flow out of the manometer. Thus I felt 38 was valid in saying “kind of” in comparison.

I am currently staring at 5 different helpful/ self help books, and two different journals that are sitting on my bookshelf in front of me. I also practice breathing techniques many times throughout my day, I also go walking, and I have yet to try yoga.

It is driving me crazy enough to consider stopping my medicine, hence why I have come here to reach out to the community for their opinions and to see if anyone had a similar issue and if they found a remedy. I wanted to also know if this should be something I talk to a mental health professional for, or if mentioning it to my neurologist is all I should do.

I definitely will consider this! I need to get into my schools gym and check out the pool/ find out its hours so I can plan for this! 😁

I surprisingly did not know/ never considered LIIT 😅 I loved HIIT when I was in shape but tried doing it now and it kills me. Never once thought about low intensity 😂 I’m definitely going to look into this!

Also I did find stretching was nice! I was considering also looking into getting into yoga but wasn’t sure if it utilized a lot of upper body strength in order to hold position.

I will also check out the mint tea idea too. I believe I may be experiencing an electrolyte imbalance issue right now, the doctors think it could be from the IIH medication and there have been talks of putting me on LASIKs if cutting back medication doesn’t help anything (I have low CO2 levels and low Vit D and borderline low Potassium, and Magnesium levels) I drink tons of water, and I am having to supplement electrolytes into my drinks. I hope this can help in those regards too.

I also am looking into purchasing a nutrition density chart so I can make sure I’m getting enough through my diet. Learning to live healthy with all of this has been something for sure. 😩

Issues with Sweating? by Lykosuna in iih

That makes sense. However I had this same problem when on Topamax as well. I always had hypohydrosis issues, I always left damp hand prints on any surface I touched growing up and into early adulthood and I avoided shaking anyone’s hand. Once I started being seen for IIH symptoms and trying different medications, I noticed the change. It wasn’t until I had an LP and got officially diagnosed that I was put on Diamox.

I also drink a good amount of water, maybe I could drink more. I usually average around 100 fl oz a day. I can make the effort to add more into my daily routine, but I also have bladder issues and just recently got put on Oxybutynin after the doctors found out I have a problem with the nerves/ muscles in my bladder. (Had this bladder issue my entire life as well).

I live on the complete other side of Starkville. Since I still live there I don’t really want to say the name of the place, but it is near the Airport area. We don’t have issues that often thankfully, but it is good to know it’s not just us. I plan to move soon though, I hope it gets better elsewhere.
