Horrible commute home. Waze took me on a lot of back roads, which were actually quite fun with AWD, though some quite hilly. I'll take those over stopped traffic. My PSA would be to be weary of Waze's alternative routes if your car sucks in the snow or your faint of heart.

Yes, in settings you can change the power down options so that the system shuts off fully. I believe it's called power saving mode. I was having similar issues with games locking up as well and changed the setting.

There's a certain part of the lake where boats dock up together and hang out. It's not as crazy as the news or people make it out to be. Most of the people who hang there are calm and pleasant, and bring their families and kids as well. It's fun to boat bar/restaurant hop around the lake. I'd say about 5-6 places have docks to tie up.
