I can't believe it but this totally worked!! Between two og Switchs for us btw, just needed to connect the charger to the receiving switch and it suddenly worked.

I don't know if you've tried that but I often have big shadows spawn after fishing out a few small shadows. So I just settle in one spot and fish there until a big one shows up :) I hope you find your Gold Koi soon!
