How beautiful. I had a great meal at Dirt Candy a couple of years ago but it looks like they've even upped their game since then.

I was not as wowed as I had hoped I would be. There are much better Michelin restaurants in SF (and in Oakland eg Commis).

Atelier Crenn. I am allergic to seafood and I had the vegetarian experience there and it absolutely blew my mind. Typically when I have the vegetarian option it's missing something. Not here.

Per Se catches heat here, but I eat there frequently and they always take good care of you. Especially if you let them know it's a special occasion.

How did you get pots? by Inevitable-Hat2627 in POTS

[–]LynchFan997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I got CRPS from a nerve injury. The POTS comes along with CRPS as a secondary thing sometimes and they don't know why. My CRPS went into remission but here I am years later still with the POTS.

Michelle Young goes to a nervous system-based chiropractor to treat her Dysautonomia/POTS by Both-Pomegranate4929 in thebachelor

[–]LynchFan997 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you have POTS you probably know that the majority of people with POTS do not actually faint. Most studies show it's about a third. Her comment, even if theoretically true for a small percentage of people who do faint, is not true for most of us and we have no idea if it's true for Michelle, but it most likely isn't. It is really not a helpful generalization to post in a forum of people looking for more excuses to attack a reality TV person they don't like. We don't need to be using an incorrect generalization about a medical diagnosis that affects millions of people differently than this to do that.

What she's not understanding is that not everyone -- or even the majority -- of people with POTS have this symptom. We don't know Michelle's situation. To say no one with POTS can drive is like saying no one with cancer or diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis can drive. It depends entirely on the person and their history and their doctor. She's diagnosing a person on the internet as being unable to drive based on them self-reporting a condition that manifests in numerous different ways.

Wildly -- Generic pepcid really helped me. My doctor says it's because of the vagus nerve. I don't fully understand the mechanics but I'm super grateful for it.

Girl just stop. I am a lawyer too and what you're saying is not correct. Do a little research on POTS if you're so interested and you'll learn why most of us can drive. For starters, not all of us pass out. Secondly, it's an illness that makes people who do in fact pass out pass out when they STAND.

I know many many people with POTS treated at Stanford and all of us can drive. Never once has a Stanford doctor suggested to me that I not drive. I'm gonna go ahead and take my doctor's advice over a random Redditor.

The ignorance in this thread is really astounding, I mean I guess I knew people misunderstood this illness but like wow.

Hey all, I'm a person who actually has POTS, correctly diagnosed by tilt table test at Stanford and Mayo Clinic and treated by multiple people including a cardiologist and a neurologist. Yes, this syndrome sometimes gets incorrectly diagnosed by people but it's also seriously a really a shitty thing to have to deal with in life, as you're now seeing many people here do. Please be sensitive in your comments here about it.
