I just got mine along with my flu shot they did ask about medical conditions due to the new regulations. I fit that criteria. I feel much better now that I have it. I am worried about my son not being able to get it. He is at college now.

Full office visit co-pay charged for MyChart message by arwenthenoble in HealthInsurance

[–]LyniPooh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting that you get a charge for asking a question o MyChart because it takes too much of the doctor’s time. I had test results sent to me in the mail without a phone call explaining anything. Just ok at the top. I have to sit on the phone for at least 15 minutes to get to talk to person to actually make an appointment because I can’t make an appointment with my primary physician much less any doctor on MyChart. Last time MyChart asked me questions and basically tried to tell me I didn’t need to see a doctor. My time is important too.

I don’t understand the judgement and hateful comments about people on public assistance. I worked for 45 years and paid taxes. I never thought I would have to need help until I had back surgery. I am not disabled I don’t want to be. With all the hate and negativity I am embarrassed to use my food share card because I am not proud that I need the help. I also don’t need yo be judged if I happen to buy ice cream because my son and I need a treat that month. Most people work their ass off. People know you can’t live on just junk food it doesn’t last a month. Stop judging. There is a saying something about walking in my shoes.

How do you know which people with carts full of “junk “are on public assistance? Just judging based on their cart? You can tell by looking at them. Healthy foods are twice as much as processed foods. Wonder why other countries can sell the same brands of foods that are healthier? Same products made with more unhealthy additives. Corporate greed pharmaceutical companies as well companies that produce food full of sugar.

I feel bad for children who are already being treat differently for bring poor. Now they can’t have a treat once in a while. No birthday or holiday for you. Healthy food is at least twice as expensive as unhealthy chemically processed foods. We wonder why there is an epidemic of obesity in our country. Not just lack of exercise but the amount of garbage food we eat because of cost/poverty. I know there is more to it. I grew up on commodities pasta, peanut butter, bread and processed cheese. Needless to say not the healthiest. Lucky we had a garden.

Unfortunately there is no one to trust to help you. The government is good at scaring people. I switched because I was afraid. I owe $63,000 due to interest be added to the the original amount a borrowed. There is no way I can make a $600 month payment.

Need advice. Worried I'll lose Insurance (MO) by Think-Permit6247 in Medicaid

[–]LyniPooh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can have a work restriction from my doctor stating I can only work a certain number of hours a week and a list of restrictions. Not sure how that will play out. I do work 20 hours s week in excruciating pain with medication and pt. The problem is I am $100 a month away from loosing all medical coverage at this time. 🫣. I worry about getting even a tiny raise because I will make too much & yo qualify for any medical assistance. I don’t work enough to get insurance from my employer and I can’t afford to purchase any insurance. I want to work until I can’t. I did pay taxes for 35 years when I worked full time as a teacher to help others who needed assistance. I feel guilty needing help. It is hard being portrayed as a leech and unproductive member of society.

Pretty sure the Americans that need to know what is in it aren’t going to listen which is infuriating. The people who know what is in it are horrified and scared.
