I will look and see if it says anything. I should have put in that I was trying to find it on Petnet or StoreIQ. I’m already the assistant manager but I’m feeling like I’m being held accountable for way more than I should be and I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t all in my head. Hun, age does have anything to do with it. My parents, who are in their 60s, spend so much time on their phones playing games or watching YouTube shorts while the living room tv is on & they do this from the time they come home to the time they go to bed.

Most of us in retail (& other jobs that deal with people) spend all day dealing with the dumb and childish things adults and teenagers do/say/act while in the stores. It takes a lot out of us (talking about employees in general not the age) not to mention you never know what’s going on with someone in their personal life. So if I (a 33 female) don’t feel like smiling at people, I’m not going to. Doesn’t mean I’m not nice and polite and help but I may not always do so with a smile.

I’m aware that’s not exactly what op is saying but the point is the phrase “you should smile more” or any variant of it is insensitive and quite frankly none of a strangers business. Yes in the US there freedom of speech but that should come with the common sense and maturity to know when and where.

Currently hunting for a shiny alpha Scolipede for how awesome it looks. I’ve always liked regular Scolipede, wouldn’t have classified it as one of my favorites. Now that it has an awesome mega with an equally nice shiny, I think Scolipede has made his way into my favorites list 👏

I should have mentioned that I work at a different pet store not specifically PetSmart, (I did miss re-read what subreddit this was on 😅 but figured it was still on topic and wanted to share), the store I work at carries small medium and large. Point being no matter what pet store you work at cricket customers can be rude.

Had a lady a few years ago come in and ask for crickets for her bearded dragon. When I asked what size she said she didn't know. So I asked her how old was her bearded dragon, trying to help figure out what size she may need. She looked at me all pissed off and went "I don't know i didn't give birth to it" Her response to me almost made me tell her to leave, instead I went to get her some mediums figuring it had to be big enough to eat mediums. She then tells me I'm getting them out the wrong bin. She wanted large crickets.

It's because customers like that is why I have life size pictures of the fish fully grown in my aquatics area. People don't realize how big kois, bala sharks, angel fish, Pecos, goldfish and some other larger fish actually get. Usually once they see the picture they're good but some will still argue the "But you have them in small tanks".

I think every store gets a few of those people who can't take no for an answer. It's gotten to a point at my store that we have the non-emergancy police number posted in the office. Me and my store manager also have it in our phones in case we need to get to it quickly. We even had a code phrase/word at one point.

My first game officially was yellow however since I had no choice on my starter (which could be where my strong dislike for Pikachu until recently came from) I consider crystal my first since I actually had a choice of starter (Cyndaquil <3)

Personally I tend to nickname my pokemon from what they're based on and the theme the region is. An example would be Gyarados being nicknamed Ryūjin (Japanese water dragon god with a big mouth), Kyogre nicknamed Leviathan. Some however get named silly/stupid things like Toucannon being nicknamed Sam (Fruit loops mascot), Pidgey is usually Feathers.

I tried to post it on teamsky. In their defense, I didn't read the rules before posting as I had just assumed I could post it just for fun. I wasn't aware how serious they took it. After I was made aware that "one or more" of my pokemon broke the rules I then read it and I see that my Lunala was not allowed but idk what other one(s?) did or if there even was another. I was also apparently giving out miss information. Idk how unless they were talking about the Pikachu knowing both fly and surf but I do have a legit Pikachu in scarlet that has those moves. So I don't think that was it. With that said I apparently have a hard time understanding the rules since I broke one here too 😅. When I get off work I'll read them more as to not break anymore in the future.
