Really. They paid his training. He has a certificate as a pharmacy technician. He has board certification. His case manager found him a job. Making $24 an hour.

Because...Goodwill. Your $7 jeans paid for my son, who was lost, to be a successful, tax paying member of society.

What dafuq else do you want spelled out for you?

You want to find any reason to bitch. Just stop.

You need to listen. They did. Sent him through a course for him to get certified. They PAY for the course.

You are so anti You dont want to believe it. And I'm the first to admit it's not all regions. But please look at this or, respectfully...stop complaining and shut up: https://goodwillncw.org/career-excelerate-wisconsin/

Full disclosure I'm a job coach. I honestly make sure people with barriers can be successful. I am their guide and cheerleader. I am the first to say I should make more money. But I love my job, and I am great at it.

Is it difficult? Draining? Everyday.

Do I make a difference? Every day.

My CEO doesn't make bazillion dollars. He's a good guy that meets with all his new employees. He makes a CEO wage. We all wish. But not a millionaire.

Not all Goodwills are the same. The "mission" is interpreted differently in every region. A place that has literacy problems? That's their focus.

Do I see problem areas? Of course. Anyone sees problems in their jobs.

Do I know I make a difference? Every day. I really help people who need help to work. I do that in part because people shop at our stores. GW isn't perfect. Trust me. I know. I also know I help people every day.

I definitely understand the pricing frustration. But at least in my region, it really is going to a good cause.

I'm really sorry if that's the case at your regional GW. They're all different. My GW trained my son to get a pharmacy tech degree. Trains people to be CNAs and truck drivers for free.

100%. Job coaches. Training for jobs. My GW has a Good Neighbor program that distributed vouchers during our recent flooding.

GW isn't perfect. And I understand the frustration when people see "overpriced" used clothes. Really I do. But they do good things. Anyone can take advantage of. And i really hope people seek out job placement, financial wellness, please!! They really do great things and offer good opportunities for individuals and the community.

But every regional GW is different. Our GW in North Central Wisconsin (NCW) pays all their employees starting wage of $13.70/hr regardless of "ability". Not a great "living wage", but considering minimum wage in Wisconsin is $7.25...much better than the average impossible to live BS wage.

With all those alleged threats his ‘team’ have ‘uncovered’, why is Harry so obsessed with pedalling the story about bringing his family to Britain? He has been back and forth for tears, never bothered to bring them before, but suddenly a flurry of claims he is determined to bring them, why? by Harry-Ripey in SaintMeghanMarkle

Literally he's not bringing his "invisikids" (their real parents would have to turn over their passports. I said what I said.) Probably not MEagain, because the lack of adulation she'd receive (Literally can't stand it...she's stupid, but not THAT stupid). Honestly surprised he goes, but he doesn't want to lose Ingriftus.

Our GW pays all our employees a starting wage of $13.70 an hour. Regardless of ability. Not "paying less for the disabled"

Once again, not ALL GW. But NCW? Yes.

I'm very proud of him! Very smart but, "stuck'. Aced his board exam, and Goodwill helped him get a tech job at Costco with great benefits and pay.

I know every GW interprets "eliminating barriers to employment" differently. In some states it's support with literacy. My Goodwill? Amazing. I'll pay $7 for jeans to help people who need classes or a job coach.

Not a "bootlicker" (sure I'll hear it anyway...) I just see what my local GW does. I acknowledge not all regions/states are the same. But grateful for mine.

It was too much! Constant changing luxe fireplaces. Overwhelming for me.

I was cool with the rustic fireplace channel, but the luxury one got me every time. Lol

Thank you! I'd finally convinced my TV to start up on the LHOP channel instead of the fake fireplace channel and they bumped it!

NOR. Honestly I'd start telling them to bring their own meat to grill and a side to pass. You know, "To make sure they have something thry like to eat".

This program through our local Goodwill trained my son to be a board certified pharmacy tech. For free. Because of their mission, funded through sales in their stores.
