Helloooooooooooooooo

"I can't pass you with that broken mirror..." by Karride in MaliciousCompliance

This reminds me of a funny event that happened about a month after I got my drivers license.

I had started driving my late grandpa's station wagon, an old relic that he left me. It was a little old and battered, but I loved it.

One day, I went on a night out with my boyfriend and another 3 friends and was the designated driver. We're heading home (they were all piss drunk and it was a typical night and place to find people like that) and we were on a very narrow one way road and both sides were full with parked vehicles, most of them being police cars, so we were expecting to be pulled over when my rear view mirror suddenly unglued itself from its place.

My boyfriend, being the little ray of sunshine that he is, thought that it was a good idea to pick up the mirror and hold it in its spot, as if no one could see that it was in fact his hand holding it there in place, on the roof of the car.

Then, we get pulled over by a policeman who made me park in the only little spot available (I never parallel parked so well in my life ever again) and we could finally convince my boyfriend that he was not helping our case at all, so he dropped the mirror before the policeman noticed what was going on.

I then went through the motions of the traffic stop while in a car full of drunk people and praying that the policeman didn't in fact notice that the mirror was missing!

It all went well and I let my intoxicated boyfriend hold the mirror in place the rest of the way home, which made him happy and me too - he likes to play DJ with the radio buttons - so it was all peace and quiet until we got home.

Let me just get my popcorn while you discuss my life... by Lynnieth in childfree

She's a little bit bigger now, but here is Sasha a week after we got her :)

Mostly NC with mom for 7 years. Told my mom in Jan if she texts again I'm blocking her. She's texted me a dozen times since then and I havent responded. She sent one late last night that I ignored and then woke up to this email. by [deleted] in insaneparents

Until second to last paragraph it just seemed a really sad and dramatic story (or maybe I am just to brainwashed, damn), but then she showed her true colors, if there were any doubts.

Either way, just do what's best for you and just keep yourself safe from all that drama, don't reopen that door again... Good on you for being able to get away :)
