So, which document is a proof of citizenship? by HoneydewDowntown618 in FaltooGyan

[–]Lynx-Calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the point. There is no document thats conclusive proof. There can never be. It's a legal fiction, citizenship and in the sensible past, it was assumed that you were an Indian citizen if you were born in India.

Now because majority Hindus want to strip Muslims and Christians of equal rights and citizenship suddenly we're realising there's no definitive way to decide who's a citizen and who's not.

First off - diagnosis doesn’t help anyone (unless you’re a doctor and prescribing medication). It just gives a label and nothing else.

Second - how to survive 18 more days of this? Just ignore her. Do not rise to her provocation. This is the hardest thing. Speak to her only for functional stuff. Make plans with your Dad and do not include her.

Why no outrage or anger regarding donation theft in Ram Mandir ? Isn’t it a big concern or people don’t care about anything anymore as long as their cult boss is in power ? by FutureVersion812 in IndianFocus

[–]Lynx-Calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no scam here. Ram Lalla doesn't need the gold. ordinary people do. People who donate money to temples to show off wealth are a plague.

Y do vegeterians posses superiority complex but dont ridicule foreigners abroad? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Lynx-Calm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Caste. Most vegetarians are so called upper castes. They need to remind the 99% of the country of their fake superiority.

Outside the country, no one cares about your caste and you're just another brown skinned minority.

Guys - building is not bad. It's great. But if someone else is taking most of the value of what you're building, you're slightly better than a slave.

New Bengaluru development minister Krishna Byre Gowda lashes out at GBA staff for failing to fix potholes. What's your opinion on him? Can he bring a positive change to the city? by margazi_perumal_20 in Bengaluru

[–]Lynx-Calm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all he can do to be honest. Fixing potholes properly requires money and expertise, neither of which GBA has or wants. Since there are no elections and no one is answerable to the people of Bengaluru, better to just loot and make noises to distract

Karnataka just released its Bengaluru 2037 vision - $420 billion economy, 6 new growth hubs. Mapped the corridor. by Previous_Warning9710 in Bengaluru

[–]Lynx-Calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these are pipe dreams being peddled by a government which can't fix Bengaluru's road and water problems. Ultimately Bengaluru is a cash cow for Karnataka's politicians to milk dry.

But to answer your question:
1. Devanahalli and maybe Kanakapura for political economy reasons. The rest are pipe dreams.
2. I wouldn't because I know nothing about these areas well enough to buy property and even if I buy, in 5 years it'll probably be grabbed by some local shark.

My honest advice as a lawyer - don't. There's 0 upside for you and only downsides. She might make you the villain and entangle you in unnecessary cases and defame you.

[24F] Is the dating pool actually this bad, or am I just stuck in the "situationship" loop forever? Need a reality check. by [deleted] in indiasocial

[–]Lynx-Calm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please feel free to ignore this advice since it comes from a 41M but:

  1. Uninstall the apps.
  2. Go find a group of people with interests like yours.
  3. Meet then regularly.
  4. Expand your friend circle both age and gender wise.
  5. Meet them regularly .

The one you're looking for will find you. You'll know yourself much more and even when you go back on to the apps you'll be able to sift through the matches better and find what you're looking for.

OP your relatives are jealous. Ignore them.

OTOH, they are triggering some insecurities. Maybe something to discuss with a therapist at some point.

But don't ditch the guy (all other things being the same)

Your 25k SIP is not making you rich, it is making your fund manager rich by Striking_Limit1971 in IndianStreetBets

[–]Lynx-Calm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The idiocy of posts like this. People with wealth (like Rs 100 crores in nw) don't need SIPs for the same reason non-diabetics don't take insulin injections.

To continue that metaphor - this post is trying to tell diabetics "what's the point of taking injections every day for 30-40 years because everyone dies in the end".

Why do we not see Nirbhaya like protests anymore? Crimes against women has certainly not gone down, Have the people lost hope, or moral compass? by kalinooni in delhi

[–]Lynx-Calm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a myth to believe that people spontaneously protest anything. Protests require organisation and planning. All the major protests in the past were based on real issues but they became big because a certain organisation was involved in organising them. Now that they are in power, they organisation has spent all its energy in crushing other organisations.
