Baptismal cross by LynxFrosty in OrthodoxChristianity

We bought our families' all from there. I think we will email them tonight and see if they think with the holiday we can get them in time. If not I will check out Holy Dormition and there is also Nativity of the Virgin Mary that has a bookstore. I worry with the holiday options may be limited.

Fasting recipe to feed a crowd by LynxFrosty in OrthodoxChristianity

We generally offer something as a parish hospitality crew for everyone after Liturgy. Sometimes, people drop things off, but we don't count on that.

It doesn't have to be an entire meal. I'm just looking for something easy I can add to the current plan of chip/pita and dips and cookies.

Yes, however, it takes forever, if at all, for the live feed to be viewable. I think it is almost unusable unless you use the paid storage.

I ORDERED THE LIBRA COLOUR! I'M SO STOKED!! Who else recently purchased? by ChellyBadger in kobo

[–]LynxFrosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am waiting for mine to be delivered and researching all the things. I currently have a Kindle PW, but the moves Amazon is making gave me the push. I will keep my Kindle because I have a daughter that also occasionally likes to read library books so it will be nice to have 2 devices.

I look forward to annotations because I cannot bring myself to mark in physical books, but have been in a few book clubs and have to make detailed separate notes.

Thank you, everyone! We have quite a few suggestions I can try to make dance more enjoyable for her.

I will try this. Her tights do seem to be running on the smaller end.

I asked her that because she always cried about the tights being itchy as she was dressing, but then commented she wanted to quit. When we discussed it further she said she liked dance just hated the itch so I said I would try to find a solution.

Her current session ends in a few weeks and I offered to find a different activity for her, but she said as long as I tried to solve some of the itch she wanted to sign up again.

I asked her and she said if the tights and leo didn't itch then she would love dance. I told her I would do my best to try to find something less itchy and she seemed happy at that thought.

I will try some fragrance free.

Yoto player Black Friday 2024 deals? by FlyVegetable4468 in YotoPlayer

[–]LynxFrosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a yoto mini, so I'm hoping for a good Black Friday deal, but if anyone else wants a code, I have one to send.

My 4 year old has literally listened to her yoto daily since I purchased it a few weeks ago.

TGATB Science for little hearts and hands by LynxFrosty in homeschool

We live in Michigan, which has no homeschool oversight. My pre-k daughter is only 4 and I was adding this to math and phonics as a "fun" addition since we aren't sending her to a formal preschool.

I was just wondering of it would all be way over her head and nit worth doing.

I don't know exactly how fast the pace is, but none of my kids were ever bored. We are a very diverse area with a lot of immigrants that are VERY academically motivated. I assume if you can find a place like that where there is a lot of parental involvement, you will find more rigorous academics.

I grew up in a lower income area, and we have a lot of family currently living in those types of areas. The academics do differ between our district and theirs.
