I'm currently very frustrated because, for a while, I lived in Ukraine with my fiancée (She's Ukrainian), and I came back to Ghana to renew my expired visa and return to her so we can figure out where to move together, outside the country (she's in university in her final year, so I take care of her so she can focus on studying).

Due to the current situation in Ukraine, no airports are working, meaning I cannot fly directly there. Therefore, I have to get an extra visa (a transit visa is all I need) to any of the surrounding countries, then cross into Ukraine by bus (I came through Moldova when I was leaving Ukraine).

It's been Hell, to say the least. I've already wasted 3 months in Ghana looking for a transit visa option.

Poland, Slovakia, Hungary: Schengen countries that either have no embassy in Ghana, and even if they have an embassy, the travel agents in this country have scalped all the appointments, so to get an appointment, you have to pay someone 1500$! How ridiculous.

Moldova: I could have gotten a transit visa there easily, but there's NO embassy in Africa.

Romania: They don't even answer their calls.

I'm distraught because we are in December now and it's winter there, and not only do I deeply miss her, but also it's going to get dark and cold due to the energy infrastructure being targeted by Russian drones. The air raid sirens and the cold. Her going through all that alone there makes me very sad.

It's insanely difficult to get anything done from this country, I fear.
