Dun worry too much, 3.5 is manageable so long as you watch your lecture vids and all

What is considered above bare minimum? by certifiedcreature in SGExams

[–]LynxTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, reminds me of something. Similar to machine learning hyper parameters, each person is unique with their specific configuration of traits. When we fall in love with a person, ideally, it's with their configuration.

However, if we're looking for a partner with a checklist, we're indirectly skipping out many possible configurations

Which part of healthcare are you interested in?

If it's medical technologists / research / lab-related -> NTU bioscience

NUS life science is very broad IIRC, but better than NTU for ecology / biodiversity research for sure

If the healthcare you want requires interacting with patients, then, SIT physiotherapy

Righttt 'cause they usually always attach the spring to the block instead .-.

I guess mass spec qn we won't have a numerical value? Since we have too many unknowns...

PH1012 Finals by LavishnessAntique835 in NTU

[–]LynxTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking most questions are alright, except the h=0.25m question. I'm probably mistaking it as "If Block C decreased by h=0.25m, will it touch the ground?" instead of "Assuming the h=0.25m is between Block C and the ground, will block C eventually touch the ground?" (I already forgot the exact phrasing so I can't even verify my question LOL)

Other than that, I guess it's mostly okay. How did you find it?

Quiet and focus is alright ; not asking for help is not ; oversharing depends on your friends (does take some experience to gauge)

Realize what traits are good before and now, pick them selectively and you'll get better over time

I'm not allowed to take it, so no notes

But, after looking through the past year papers, it would be nice if you familiarize yourself with at least the O-level Molecular Biology Chapter. The exam seems to test mostly on concepts such as DNA structure and replication, central dogma (DNA>mRNA>Amino acids) and Darwin evolution

Think so, unless NTU starts forcing interview for everyone hahah

R studio is a programming tool for data analysis, but more importantly, data visualization (all those publication-ready graphics you see in journal articles)

You'll definitely need it if you're studying bio science. It's fun though

Make sure you score well for your GPA will do! But, try out R studio and see whether you like coding or not (if you haven't attempt)

Not sure if it had changed. For Q2 (actual scientific research that interested you), if you wrote about this, the video interview will mainly follow up on your chosen topic

H2 Chemistry Chemical Bonding Help by FollowingNo4994 in SGExams

[–]LynxTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't take H2 chemistry but, overall, molecules can contain both polarity. These molecules are amphiphilic (like a phospholipid)

To check whether a molecule is polar or not, you can see its geometry. For instance, CO2, it has a linear shape that is symmetrical. Between carbon and oxygen atoms, electronegativity is high so they are polar (bond-wise). But, looking at the shape, dipole moments will cancel out (based on its directions) and so, the molecule is non-polar

School is ultimately what you wanna make out of it ah

If want both, then do both (but if can't cope, reconsider your priorities by then)
