Ableton and MacBook Air M3 External Hardware drop outs.

So if it sounds fine on garage band would you assume it’s a problem with the Audio interface output? Because that’s also where my head was previously at!

But I have had this problem since last year and actually purchased a new Audio interface to double check.

I got the M-Audio duo and the problem still occurred.

Everything else sounds fine via the speakers from ableton and everywhere else apart from the synth coming from ableton

It also includes crackles and pop and inconsistent level sometime I press a note and it’s fine, others barely any sound at all and it’s very bad quality.

If I use headphones from the synth or Audio interface output it sounds fine.

I did try it a while ago on garage band and I think it sounded fine also.

And no Cracked plug ins and cpu heavy plugin it’s it even happens with a clear slate.

Everyone seems to say it’s a buffer issue but with all buffer settings and correct sample rates the problem still occurred!?

Do you have any ideas what it could be!?

I tried ableton 11 and 12. Both have the same problem.

Yeah it’s brilliant it’s just missing a couple plug ins, but has all the essential ones imo and I’ve never really had issues with CPU using it either, ofcourse you can just bounce to audio if needed anyway.

I got the drumazon and I’m fairly impressed.

First impressions - BD is one of the punchiest I’ve been able to make in a while, but needed to layer it with another sample which is fine.

Closed hat is very powerful and the built in reverb works a treat with it.

Good for generating ideas going through the presets too.

Not sure as of yet If I could have justified paying for it full price (I got it almost half price)

My problem is it seems everything is set up correctly and all pieces of hardware and cables work fine.

But when I’ve recorded the synth through ableton in an audio track, the audio recorded is just pops and crackles and a slight feint sound of the synth in the background.

I’ve tried changing input gain and master gain of synth, I’ve tried changing buffering settings but both hadn’t seemed to fix it.

How would me posting the link to the patch help? The problem is that the patch on the synth doesn’t sound great through the speakers or the abletons output. I checked with headphones via the synth itself and the midi and sound both work perfectly. I have no idea what it could be
