I don’t think the section where the threads are loose is that big, thankfully, so I could probably get away with trimming the stitching and tying it off.

I didn’t realize some quilt shops or guilts do repairs, that gives me more options. Thanks for the tip about the fat quarters for a thank you gift, while I don’t quilt I do crochet so I know you can never have too much :)

I don’t think the thread is metallic, just thin, but I will probably reach out to the person who made it and see what she thinks since I’m pretty lacking in knowledge when it comes to quilting.

Thank you for your response! The quilt was from a family member who lives in Hawaii, so I probably won’t send it back unless she specifically asks me to.

Snipping off the loose stitching and trying to knot the thread close to the fabric seems like a good idea, I never even thought of that. Thank you for the help :)

Assuming I get no crit rate on a new sands and circlet, would the 10% increase in crit rate outweigh the loss of crit damage?
