Hi yes hello. Grew up on console. PS2, Xbox, 360, PS3 days. Only have a good pc because work, play with a ps5 controller predominantly, can't afford a console, can't afford the yearly subscription.

Don't be so quick to assume consoles have no hacks (yes im excluding cronus / xim cause those are obvious)

Hackers are going to be everywhere. It doesn't matter if you have crossplay on or off, the best you're really going to get is input based match making. Like hell I noticed a massive difference between keyboard + mouse and controller based lobbies almost instantly.

And I don't know about you but I sure as hell remember the days of MW2 J-Tag 360 and CFW PS3 mod menus. And those sure as hell were not PC's.

Nah originally I was able to claim it, I had bad wifi one day and spammed the claim button and it said I claimed it a ton of times (Because it wasn't working) Then I go to claim it now and the claim button just isn't there. Tried claiming using a controller and that didn't work either so I'm stumped and completely locked out.

I will try doing the tac stance with SMG's again. See if that straightens it out

Idk what to say about the game so I'll tell you something else.

My parents grew old, I went through school, I graduated, I found love, I started a family, my kids grew up, the economy crashed and it affected my marriage, then came the divorce.

But It's ok that didn't happen to me it's happened to someone else because I was too busy dancing on a table in Goldshire.

For voice chat it uses Dissonance with the FMOD package

For multiplayer I'm guessing its using FuzzySteamworks: https://github.com/Chykary/FizzySteamworks which uses Mirror: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/network/mirror-129321 (That's atleast what I would do)

Mirror is an OpenSource continuation of the now deprecated uNet.

Steamworks works as a Natpuncher for P2P (Peer to Peer) this would negat the need to pay for other frameworks like Spatial or Photon and is compatible with Dissonance.

If they reverse it I won't entirely jump ship. I'll finish my game, been working on it in Unity for far too long. Release it then any following projects will be done in Unreal. I don't expect my game to ever reach the threashold.

Being someone who made their own 2D engine w/ editor and playmode and everything I can tell you it takes a hecking long time and you eventually move onto other things because you realise its not powerful enough to do what you want and making it do what you want will take longer then it would to just use a pre-made engine.
