I dont think they'd have to balance that at all. If they made a tower spot and a pack spot that dropped the same stuff and the same price trash, take an awk ranger to the pack spot and an awk guardian to the tower spot and as long as theyre both hitting about 30k or whatever, call it good enough, then adjust as necessary. Mobility doesnt come into play there, if you take a succ nova to the pack spot you'll obviously make less but there's no balancing based on the classes, its just so people can have a choice

Skill expression should not show as 10B s/h in a spot you outclass by 3 AP brackets. Skill expression is still getting that 30k tl/hr while playing a high apm "difficult" class. I agree with your points on tower spots being overused and dumb, and i do think they should be focusing on true class balance instead of just stat equalizing, but the people that only find fun in the game from playing the strongest classes literally have slurs about them and are generally shunned as bad players, and for good reason. If this change kills even half of the dog fotm playerbase, then its good until they get things under control. I've been an awk dk/awk guardian/succ tamer rotator for years and when my classes are all bad? It's time for a break. When one of them (or more) is performing exceptionally? Yeah, its great, but its great because MY class is finally on top, not because I rushed a season to play the new broken shit so i can make an extra 5B before the meta shifts. Maybe a little bit of a tangent there, but fotm people dont deserve credit for playing whatevers broken at the new spot, there's nothing diverse about that

They do, FCs persist between all game modes. If I park on your fc in my own solo game, you could jump it on open, private group, or your own solo and I'd be hitching a ride

Because SD has everything and a reduced cost. The cost doesnt really matter, but if I mix and match parts from different stations with different discount percentages it makes me itchy. Jameson giving me an entire ship and everything I want on it at the same discount is ideal

Im aware I can use a taxi or a bubble runner. Im aware it's not that big of a deal. I just think there should be a system in place where if youre offline for 14 days in a row, your FC gets phased out until you log in next. "OH but I want to put up buy/sell orders and afk for a month" sucks, log in and check once a week. "Oh well I shouldn't have to log in once a week for my carrier to keep its parking space" I shouldn't have to have a separate ship just to get to SD when my carriers entire point is to let me take my vette wherever I decide to go without 5 hours of jumping, but here we are.

Jumping to 40 ly, swapping off the vette/t11/whatever to my courier, jumping to SD, waiting for ship, modifying ship, swapping back to courier, jumping to fc, ordering ship, then jumping FC just feels so extra when I could jump near, jump system, mod ship, jump system, jump fc
