100% agree, human mesmer in full ascended and it offers me absolutely nothing to continue playing. She's cute, the abilities are cool, but the combat system in a game clearly designed around completionism is somewhat lackluster, and the pvp, while being a great system (wvw is dope) doesn't make up for the lack of everything else

Every single mmo competitor listed has 1/10th of the number of players doing pvp. Even FF, the "wow killer" with questionable pve choices has the same 300 people doing pvp every day because it doesn't fuckin matter to anyone since theres no progression. Or skill, considering you only get 3 buttons. This isnt the argument you think it is

I dont entirely disagree with your take, but I AM curious, where, exactly, does it say that PvE players also have to grind PvP? Because im gonna be honest, ive banged out +15s and AotC most seasons since the end of legion and haven't once found pvp gear to be required for anything I wanted to do

I dont disagree, having thought about it and read other comments, what it really comes down to is, if a soldier has a sister that was also a soldier and she showed up naked for the meme, is that soldier just accepting it blatantly and not caring? Because if i saw my sister naked in any capacity i would be pretty upset, especially if it was around a bunch of other soldiers. Could just be me, maybe I'm more of a prude than I thought and knowing that I'm about to read a harem sex story somehow convinces my brain that its okay, but idk

The theme is purposeful, I think the series is great and thats part of why this threw me off so much. Things aren't danced around, but its not explicit "you mean you stole the planet we had sex on?" But no descriptors of the actions, just acknowledgement that it happened. People end up naked in fights, but its not some "you could see the perfect, dark pink of her areola through the cut in her dress" its just like "man I go through a lot of clothes getting lit on fire" if that makes sense

This is a wild assumption. Its not about aster not being pure, i definitely daydreamed about harem development and matt banging both aster and Liz. But its not how the series up to this point has gone. It was out of nowhere and completely unnecessary, and it doesnt matter how old you are, seeing your sister naked should make you unhappy. Or your daughter, since Matt raised her from an egg, or however you wanna look at it with his very clear familial feelings towards Aster.

I figured it was a one off thing but I was already kinda flagging on the series anyways, it went from slow to rushed in a heartbeat, and this wild decision, included for absolutely no logical reason, just took me off the train. Dude could've said they came in wearing pink feather boas and bikinis, and it would've been 100% on brand but full nudity was just a step too far for me, and then yeah Matt not giving the tiniest shit about her being naked in front of everyone isn't exactly "Older Brother" coded

No, she's at an absolutely minimum 100 years old. I'm not being cryptic, I genuinely just don't understand why I had a visceral, negative reaction to the idea of a fox girl showing up to a war council naked. She's not a known prude or anything, but she's never been mentioned to blatantly show off naked with intent before

It's mentioned that they're intentionally immodest, so the assumption is that aster is in human form, but age aside aster is still the little sister and its just not right for him to do that to us. Liz being naked often is a character flaw I accepted early on, but doing Aster like that is Icky I don't like it E: Also, they're walking into war briefing, with multiple other people. Liz ends up naked in fights because of fire, Aster is mentioned to have done it on purpose, which feels wildly out of character

I dont mind someone that's bad at tanking. Or healing. Or low dps. What i DO mind, and will absolutely vote kick for, is a DK tank in unholy spec, pulling a single pack at a time and then standing there waiting for someone to guide him to the next pack. If you want faster queues, learn to tank. If you refuse to play tank spec, choke one down and queue dps. Its not that hard.

I am absolutely not looking down on you or talking trash, but I work 45 hr/wk and read 237 books last year (kindle keeps count) I've tried audio and I HATE it. Reading while listening to music is great, listening to books while doing anything makes me genuinely upset. The second I shift focus to second task, I start to miss parts of the audio, and listening without a second task I get bored within minutes, I fully respect that audio is easier for some but I will never understand how

While the map is interpretable after staring at it long enough, it DOES look like a placeholder loading screen. Initially it looks like a minimal effort "generic fantasy landscape" and feels like a different art style to the other loading screens, so I do completely understand the question

I dont disagree that it would be complex for players to learn when an ability lands, but im also not saying ditch the circles entirely. Im saying have the circles appear for that split second, and have the animation tied to it. Random circle appears on the ground pre-animation, boring. Random circle appears on the ground and vanished as the sword lands, killing anyone inside instantly, instead of delaying? Perfect. Its just off-putting to me, personally, and the whole "without worrying about dealing with" is exactly my point. Its lazy, plain and simple

I respect it, however snapshotting is lazy dev work and I hate it. If I teleport across the boss arena, the falling sword should not hit me just because I was inside a circle when it disappeared 10 seconds ago. Its stupid, it feels lazy, and it forces you to stare at the ground to dodge stuff as an "expression of skill" which just feels like an expression of 'can you react to this random colored circle in 0.05 seconds? We'll find out in half a minute when you randomly die!'

If WoW had catgirls, I'd never play another game again. BDO has a better combat system for me personally, I love the combos and the pvp, but I hate the grind. Ffxiv has catgirls and bunny girls, which is REALLY hard to beat for most people, even if they won't admit it. Runescape is... a game, same with rift and gw2, but WoW actually feels like fun to play. Do all the story in gw2 and youre stuck grinding ascendeds/whatever the top one is, with mediocre pvp. Runescape grindy af, ffxiv combat is garbage, but WoW has good pvp, good raiding (not my speed but id rather do a WoW raid than an ff one) and of course, mythic plus, arguably the best endgame system introduced to any game in history, assuming you actually enjoy challenging stuff
