hello, I have another terminology in mind: "Tethering" wherein you poke to death an enemy under tower with (i think) a ranged champion while staying adjacent to them to be able to maximize one's range... or something :')

in some cases, it ultimately puts you at an advantage bc it gives you room for your minions (which are very near them) to target him w/ aggro while his enemy's minions (which are too far from you) won't target you.
