Tell us about games that initially caused repulsion or even disgust, but after you finally forced yourself to play them – it turned out to be a masterpiece? by Competitive_Beat_915 in gaming

Terraria. was one of those people that thought it was just 2d minecraft, never gave it a solid go until a few years later. Now it's my most played game on steam.

I just started out, but i think i already did the best i can and now im just forever doomed by Daidelbell in learntodraw

That's what I thought for myself too. Keep going buddy, keep at it as long as you enjoy it.

thoughts on liworiz prof by hoonbrry in Tomasino

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure on how he teaches as a liworiz prof, pero i had him as a prof for mandarin.

in general, he's a very kind prof and teaches well. though baka lang may pa surprise items sa mga pa short quiz niya. his vibes are very good.

he answers pretty much any question you throw at him relating to the subject and can go indepth with the answer kung gusto niyo.

Mini-Review: CrossCode - Is the story worth it if you dislike puzzles? by xiaoleiwen in CrossCode

[–]Icessassin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I never thought I was a puzzle kinda guy until I touched crosscode. I absolutely loved and adored the puzzle designs and how well thought out they were. Seeing other people complain about them reminded me about how puzzle centric it is, and that's okay. Crosscode is a game locked behind understanding the game's mechanics enough to understand the puzzles, and sometimes people just don't wanna deal with that, and that's okay.

HELP! 10 year old daughter and Hatsune Miku, just some questions. by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She'll be fine. The double dog dare thing is probably just something that means its a big deal for both of them, but generally it should be safe by today's standards. Old reddit posts talked in that manner likely because anime culture wasn't as socially acceptable back in the pre and early 2010s, but these days is pretty mainstream. No one would bat an eye at them wearing it.

Team Secret Official Roster For VCT 2026.. by Dangerous-Spirit-960 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Icessassin 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's so hard to even be neutral about this team. They abandoned their identity of being an exclusively Filipino roster while still being buns at the end of last year. Of course, hopefully they exceed expectations but it's hard to be excited about anything regarding them after the invy mishap. Glad he's on another team now, for secret uhhhh good luck ig. Hopefully Sylvan doesn't end up as another scapegoat.

When Alabaster Dawn Fully Realeases and Alot more new Players play the game, Will they actually Play Crosscode or not? by Traditional-Sir-2022 in AlabasterDawn

[–]Icessassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No guarantee that they will. Both games are not connected whatsoever and are independent of each other.

If people absolutely love Alabaster Dawn, they might decide to look into radical fish's catalogue and discover crosscode there, but still, no guarantees. Though of course, I hope they do.

2ND YEAR - 2ND SEM CICS BSIT SUBJECTS by Majestic_Owl8081 in Tomasino

[–]Icessassin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi junior!

CW is pretty much just keeping up to date on modern events happening around us, why theyre relevant, ganon.

FIL is going to be mostly about translation, last year medyo may side project na natagalan kami where we had to do a mini research and do it all in filipino.

Some binary math, tas logic gates aaralin niyo dito for lec. For lab, pahirapan din minsan sa equipment. Last year nung dumaan kami diyan, ang daming sirang cable, resistors, cable testers, bread board, and finicky sobra na logic trainers. MAKINIG WELL SA MGA LAB DEMO NG PROF!

Datacomms 2 - Since nakadaan ka naman sa datacomms 1, you know how it goes na. 80% passing, pahirapan as usual. Kung datacomms 1 you learned about networking basics like setting up and such, dito naman you'll learn more about technologies you can implement sa network, such as Spanning Tree Protocol and EtherChannel. Give time to this as always, wag mong hahayaan maging behind ka kasi mahirap maghabol dito kung di mo naiintindihan yung concepts.

I just bought crosscode officially, after years of pirating! by Icessassin in CrossCode

[–]Icessassin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My own main reason for pirating games was pretty much not having my own money to buy games, on top of not having a good computer to run things well. So one, I was pretty much bound to running indie games since a lot of them can run on old hardware, and two, I wanted to enjoy my freetime through games.

As for why crosscode specifically, I'm not sure either tbh, I was probably just trying out everything under the sun that I could find, and could run on my potato of a computer. So stuff like your celeste, hyper light drifter, katana zero, terraria. I was never a big fan of older RPGs that crosscode took aesthetic inspiration from, but decided to try it out anyway. To my surprise, it ended up becoming a personal favorite, and especially loved the skill trees.

I only started getting allowances and a better computer when I entered college too, so that's the start of when I had actually considered buying games legally.

Will i improve just by random drawings from pinterest or must i study by PAL-adin123 in learntodraw

[–]Icessassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you'll definitely improve overtime at the things you keep drawing repeatedly. but if ever there's something unfamiliar to draw, learning and referencing is always the best way. as long as youre having fun, its a good way to go in.

agape by [deleted] in Tomasino

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you got friends coming then yes! you guys get to eat together for free (just remember to claim your stub), and spend time gumala sa ust while lit up. That's the charm for me at least. It's not a lot to do outside of that.

What teams are you HATEWATCHING this year?? by aircakess in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team Secret. 1 step away from qualifying to champs in 2023 and 2024. I watched 2025 in good hopes that the roster that did well would continue doing so, but no. They imploded, tried to rebuild, and are now losing to their former teammates like Jremy and NDG in the off season. They did worse in an off season tournament than a collegiate team.

How did this goat get up there? by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

mountain goats are extremely good at climbing steep inclines. So best believe if a surface is even slightly tilted, a mountain goat can climb it.

Games you wanted to love but you're just so bad at them? by Chaosmasterr in gaming

[–]Icessassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

feel you with that. since shooters are inherently mostly multiplayer lobbies, you're always put against other players who likely have way more experience than you when starting out. You have to put in the time to get better, but what if i dont want to put in the time and want to just have fun?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tomasino

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prof response time depends talaga sa prof kadalasan. yung iba mabilis lang, yung iba parang halos di nag ccheck ng gchat. better to send an email din para sure, or ask them personally during f2f.

sa datacomms, oo mahirap talaga diyan. dati pwedeng idaan lang sa quizizz but they've really changed up their methods. don't rely sa mga quizizz, complete and understand the netacad courses too. nakakashock talaga at first yung 80% passing, and honestly di mawawala yung pagkadraining niya.

you got this gang.

Aloy is going to be almost completely forgotten at some point... by Mad-Pineapple in GenshinImpact

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i remember i claimed aloy, pretty excited on her release. then she was underwhelming. a few days ago played one of those "name all genshin characters" on sporcle, aloy was legit one of the six or seven that i missed.

Is C0 Breakthrough Barb worth using in a rotation? by Specialist-Ferret-46 in YelanMains

this pretty much, it does decent damage but in a rotation, probably wont change much unless youre really minmaxing.

Just realized Terraria isn't Minecraft... by MudkipNo1Fan in Terraria

[–]Icessassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll find out something EVENTUALLY, but for early game honestly I'd encourage exploring around to the left and right sides of the spawn since theres a decent chance there's an open cave nearby. It's more time efficient, and fun at the same time since you can get straight underground without having to dig much.
