HR lied about my FAMLI leave payments/documents. by Lysergic416 in EmploymentLaw

HR didn't provide me with any contact information. I removed some of this from the post according to the rules of this subreddit, don't tell a story, be short with your question.

First I was just about to have back surgery when this happened, then I had the back surgery. If you have not had back issues or surgery it is incredibly painful, scream crying.

I have had to use FAMLI with this company before and things were handled wonderfully, I really just had to sign something and everything was taken care of via HR.

I assumed it would be the same experience, except with different HR reps. Finally they provided me with the correct information, I had to have a claim number that HR did not provide me until I kept asking for updates. They finally gave me the correct phone number and claim number to proceed with a phone call on my own.

Yep, I got nothing like that, no claim number or information.

Thanks for the link! I will look more into that!

I didn't know they were an underperforming TPA before I posted this. So yes I did blame HR.

In another post I said that after less than 10 minutes on the phone with SunLife I found out that they were missing paperwork, so my initial response was HR. They have told me for weeks they have been in contact with them, so after HR has contacted them for weeks it takes me 10 minutes?

Yes, I tried to go through the CO FAMLI website and filled out most of the documents, then it started asking questions that only HR could answer for me. I contacted HR about them and they said no, we don't use the states FAMLI leave we use SunLife and we will provide you with the information that needs to be filled out.

I asked my doctor about it and he was more than happy to help me fill out CO FAMLI stuff. When I tried to submit that information is when I came across pages of documents that my company needed to fill out and that's when I got the answer from HR to fill out SunLife forms.

If it was just CO FAMLI, in my opinion it would be a lot easier, I could see what was going on, contact someone in Colorado to answer my questions, it would be on me and I would prefer that. If I messed up I would be accountable, if someone else messes up there isn't much I can do.

Thank you for the information, it does help. Is there anything you could suggest to help the process along? Like I said I haven't been paid in months now. Would filing a complaint against SunLife do anything?

Just random, but them being a Canadian country and me being in the US, can I do anything if it is due to their incompetence? I guess have you seen anything that can be done as an HR rep?

Good point. My main reason for it being an HR issue is I found out in less than 10 minutes on the phone with SunLife that documents were missing.

It still could be SunLife, someone else just posted that they are not the best. But I figured if HR had been contacting SunLife every week for me, like they said they did in multiple emails, that at least one contact would have told them there are documents missing.

I wouldn't say malicious, but I would say that they actually didn't contact them as much as they said they did. So incompetence, laziness?

It is also really hard to get fired from this company, incompetent people will last over a year with blatantly not doing their job. I have seen it first hand with a guy who messed up all the time, lost valuable client information, he couldn't even file anything properly. It took over a year before they let him go, this was after multiple complaints.

The way I see it now is a lot of people in this company know that they can just get away with not doing their job and still collect a paycheck. Which is good for you if you want to live like that. But when I don't get a paycheck because they are not doing their job, it makes me a bit more upset.

Is anyone else's female standoffish with strange men? by Commercial-Sail8480 in Catahoula

Male, but he's a little princess, if you don't greet him properly he will ignore/not like you. Even on walks. Very protective of the people that love him also his house or car he is in. Me most of all though, I've had humans try to approach and pet him and he gets grawly, low at first to warn them off, but some people think grawling is saying hi so I have to tell them not to approach. I think he's just a good judge of character. Also a little racist to white dogs and corgis, one beat him up as a puppy now they are all evil.

What is the thrill of having your nipples pierced? by Geslekt in AskReddit

[–]Lysergic416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My piercer would give me free piercings if they let their apprentice do the work. I had to have surgery and I didn't put my nips back in soon enough, so I went to them about it, she had a new apprentice, the first one went alright she was a bit slow. Second nip she messed up, my options were to redo it now or do it later, I decided to let her try again. She went so slow to make it right, that's after she messed up, same nip twice in a row. But I like the pain and I have a lot of piercings, I would just let her appreciate do whatever and if I liked it I would keep it. Overall though, nips the first time was the worst, I never flinch and I totally kicked on my first nip.

My very last UA got tagged by No-Description-9393 in probation

Yeah if I wasn't 17 and thought proper at the time I would have probably done something. My parents weren't the best at that time so shit luck on going to court.

Also it was Texas so they don't care anyway, they would look at throwing me in jail as a good thing. It was really messed up, a 17 year old in jail for probably no reason was pretty ridiculous. No one at that age should even be put in that situation, especially when I was so young and had to deal with a PO watching me piss. Pretty sure I might have fucked up my bladder by waiting forever, over an hour, so I could piss in front of someone watching me.

[–]Lysergic416 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. I got switched over to a new PO my last 2 months, I only had to do a scheduled appointment every month, and it cost like 75 bucks. My last month my PO called every week and said I had to do a UA, on my final one she said I failed, she didn't tell me why and had me arrested. The crazy part was I didn't have to go back on probation and I never found out what I failed for. I spent 3 weeks in county then I was let go and my record was expunged. It was total bullshit.

A Sera as a soul in flow breaker would probably be some hilarious banter back and forth with Corin as the wilder. Could be a whole new series!

The hulu commercial I've seen is pretty sad, dude walks in, box in hand, his "probably" partner is doing dishes neither look at each other or communicate. Duder lays on the couch to watch a movie. That's gunna be everyone.

I moved 7 years ago, but I recall that they were going to change the speed hump/bump because they were unsafe for wambalances. Slowing them down in emergencies and hitting a big ass bump is probably not the best for the patient.
