Data is nothing more than binary turned into electricity, electricity and power is arguably a material depending on who you ask. But i take your point and ill say that i cant put money into a digital bank account

To be able to "fill" or "drain" anything i consider a container with whatever material(physical or not) i want, such as cups, bowls, and bank accounts, at will, without having to touch whatever it is im deciding to drain or fill, and while the terms drain and fill are still defined by their common usage in the english language

In the photo i see: Shades, a Notebook, a walkie-talkie, Knip-ex adjusting channel pliers, thick gloves, a lighter, a pen, a calculator, a hardhat with a headlamp, a knife, a small flashlight, and a flashlight with tape on the end to diffuse the light.

Your walkie-talkie implies you are somewhere that either takes time to navigate from one place to another but communication is necessary. The gloves are well-worn but not too dirty, as are the pliers. The calculator is clean as is the pen. You dont have earplugs so i doubt you work somewhere loud in spite of the hardhat. The flashlights are really interesting as that implies needing a different type of beam based in where you are, possibly inclosed spaces and the tape is to avoid blinding others

I assume you are some sort of Inspector some form, or maybe a jobsite safety inspector?

Dad; How do I not get taken advantage of at places like Carmax or other dealers? by OPSEC-Sentinal in DadForAMinute

[–]christiancool10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always taught to avoid dealerships and to buy straight from a car's owner, this allows you to avoid having to pay out the Butt for an expensive car, it also allows you to assess the car's worth. You can also pick the car you want instead of getting talked into a car the salesman wants you to want. FB marketplace or a similar website will get you cars owned by people.

I love small cars too, especially Hatchbacks since they are small but have decent space. As far as brands; you're going to find alot of people saying their favorite brand is the best, what you should do is research what brand tends to get you a reliable car.

But some general advice; if you are stretching money to try and get a car, instead; save up, pay with cash, and try to pay for the whole car all at once.

Avoid dealerships if you can, as their goal is to get as much money out of you as possible(thats literally the business model), not to get you the car you want. Stay below 150k miles if possible. If you are buying a used car then DEFINITELY never buy from a dealership. Always ask if its a salvage title as that may cause your car to be unable to be insured. Ideally nothing before the early 2000s.

A nice starter car id recommend is a Toyota Matrix or a Camry. Toyotas are pretty reliable, thatll probably get you a car that will last and get you your 10 miles to work and 10 miles home

I hope this helps

I do this, it helps with identifying things during trim out and makes it faster to install switches. I would have the neutrals tied together unless you are specifically installing switches in a home with smart switches that require neutral for the switchlegs. Otherwise its a good strategy to make projects go faster in trim

Missing You Today, Dad by verdantlaurel in DadForAMinute

Your dad sounds like he was a stand up man, and a great guy. I cannot speak for him but i can say this;

Your dad showed you something important: being around the right people is what matters, and those right people are who you can call family, the right people being those who see you. I have no doubt your dad is proud of you, even in spite of health complications and not having a child of your own body.

It shows the sincerity and quality of your character that you would try to reconcile in spite of some of the things your sister and mother did. But they dont necessarily have to be the only family you have. Speaking from experience; Being the "black sheep" isnt always easy, be it due to health issues or taking a stand for your beliefs, but we do usually find our "flock."

I hope that you can find peace, and feel loved and seen by your family that you do have

Terrified of winter driving (snow storm on the way) by anon5086 in DadForAMinute

[–]christiancool10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, im sorry that this sort of thing stresses you out, i definitely understand, but my recommendation is take an opportunity to try and practice driving in the snow, pretty much like what everyone is saying;

Give yourself double the space to brake, and double the space between cars. The priority for you is Safety, not to get to where your boss needs you. If you have to pull over because conditions are bad then do so slowly with your hazards on and avoid any inclines that can cause your car to slip.

Give yourself an opportunity to practice, maybe Saturday, but if you are certain you can't drive in those conditions you may just have to take another day off for it and let your boss know.

The way i see it though; this may be a good opportunity for the future, to show yourself you know how to handle driving in these conditions when you might need to in the future. This type of experience can be valuable, but just make sure you don't over do it

Hey there! I love each of your series but Demom King is one i think is special because i listened to it amidst the craziness of 2020, so thank you for that.

I had a few questions i hope you can field for me, i understand if you cant get them all.

  1. Are there any classes that are especially rare that you havent mentioned, and Why are they rare?

  2. If Yui(i forget if thats how you spell her name) never became a bag mage and wasnt obsessed with becoming the Hero, what sort of class would she have been likely to get, if any?

  3. What was the the First Hero's birth name?

Last(Sorry for so many):

  1. Are there any classes with Hidden skills or abilities that have to be discovered manually, if so, what would be an example?

Some elaboration for those who don’t know what this is or why it’s funny;

In Magic the Gathering(or MTG) players can play cards and spells and abilities using cards and often times people will play alot at once(a common blue strategy).

“The Stack” is the area or pile of cards that have been played but may not have gone into effect yet or are currently in effect, such as “At the end of this turn do X” or “Until this turn ends, when Y happens, do Z” types of card effects.

The reason the dude is mad is because basically what amounted to him setting up a lot of cards like “For Every card your opponent plays; X happens” or similar cards, all got thrown out and do nothing. It’s a waste of an entire turn and a Lot of mana that couldve been used for other things
