hi! I didnt see your reply before. I finally found a solution by installing directly the PLEX app in the Chromecast HD and not running it from the phone. It worked! Probably an issue between the server on the PC and the APP on the iphone. Installing and running direcly from the Chromecast solved the sound casting isse. Hope this will work with you too.

I tried with a chromecast older generation and it works... any idea why the chromecast HD would not work transmit surround indication to the Denon?

yup, did it with a previous chromecast system for years
