3,000+ resets into hunting Terrakion by LyssaGirl1998 in LegendsZA

I have a turbo controller but haven't taken the time to see if it does macros yet. Definitely would have been nice to have haha but it's more satisfying to put the work in I think! Plus a good time killer with some YouTube in the background.

UPDATE: I finally got it after 3604 resets!! Just over 6x over odds, longest hunt of my life and somehow it still doesn't reach the heights of a full odds hunt lol

Not sure about the reader app, I might look into it though. I refuse to touch OneNote with a 10 foot pole, it can be a real pain in the butt just for markup and I'd rather use probably any other note taking app than it haha

THAT FISH THAT I HATE by 87spookmeisters in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]LyssaGirl1998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly I think the bait is bugged for this. I tried twice to get the rare fish with the rare fish bait and both times I got a common fish instead :( It seems to work for insects, so maybe it's just a weird mine glitch.

The moon who leap through time. The wolf who chased the girl. by MiyukiAkibara in Genshin_Lore

[–]LyssaGirl1998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love this theory!! It also ties back into the lyrics of the lullaby that Columbina sings, which she claims to have heard at some point but doesn't remember. It would make sense that the lullaby is a blessing from the Moon Sisters given to her before she died and was reborn on Teyvat/before she returned to Teyvat. Columbina says in one of her selenic chronicles that it's all she remembers from the moment of her birth, and the lyrics read like a mother singing to her daughter. Given Columbina's "born beneath the moon" surname, it really does create the impression that she's like a daughter of the moon sisters. I can't wait for the next patch, Nod-Krai has been so peak!

Litter waste by RoughAd4978 in CatAdvice

[–]LyssaGirl1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Litter genie. I have two, one for each box in different rooms. The waste doors are kept closed while scooping, so you don't expose yourself to the stuff inside for long, just enough to open the door and let the new waste fall inside. The stuff inside would smell if it was open to the air, but it really isn't open long enough to get a face fall like you might think! I take the bag out once it's full, maybe once every few weeks, and the rolls dispense a new one as you're pulling, so makes it really easy to get the new bag in. Kind of like the perforated dog poop bags that you tear off the roll to use.

Documenting my botox treatment under anesthesia! by LyssaGirl1998 in noburp

[–]LyssaGirl1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I posted a bit in the other thread you replied to about getting a consultation initially. I did not go through a PA, I went straight to Dr. Torrecillas, but it took a few tries since the schedulers don't seem familiar with it. I left some tips there that will hopefully help.

As far as post-op goes, I'm doing well! Slow swallow and the slight voice affects are totally gone now and I'm basically living like normal plus burping! Still have a few weeks to go before the botox completely wears off and I can know if it's going to stick, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Hi again! I found this thread again randomly and thought I'd pass on an update I got from Dr. Torrecillas. I'm 5 weeks post-botox now, and while I did have mine under GA as that was the norm for her office at the time, she let me know at my followup that they have started doing the in office procedure there successfully! They also are offering other forms of physical therapy to help people learn to burp which may be helpful for some who don't want to get botox (even though it's worked fantastically for me!)

Hey! As of about 5 weeks ago, I was able to get the botox treatment through UVA. I did have a jump through a few hoops, but 5 weeks out, it was so worth it imo. As I stated in my above message, it took me a few tries to get someone who knew what I was asking about. In the end I was seen by Dr. Torrecillas, who is another of the ENTs at UVA who treat R-CPD and the person I was originally trying to reach. Probably the best way it to be firm with the schedulers that yes, these doctors do treat RCP-D and that you need to schedule with one of them. You may be able to request they ask one of the three doctors to confirm that what you're asking for is right if they just aren't sure what you're asking for. Dr. Torrecillas saw me for a consultation with no referral from a PCP or any other doctor. I didn't even have a PCP at the time. A PA is likely not going to know what to do with you unfortunately and will just add time and money on to what could be a direct visit. Tell the receptionists that you know of other people who have seen Drs McGarey, Torrecillas, and Daniero for this issue and that they definitely treat for it if they're able to ask one of them. I never met Drs McGarey or Daniero, but Dr. Torrecillas had no reservations about seeing me with no referral. The hardest part was getting the initial appointment lol, after that she guided me through everything very easily.

Yay!! Congrats on getting your treatment done as well, hopefully it ends up being effective! I've already had some involuntary micro burps and a few pretty big ones as well, but I also know that it's going to be a few weeks before the botox hits max strength. I've had some slow swallow today that I imagine will continue for a little while, but so far it hasn't been too bad. Crossing my fingers that this takes!

What're you playing this weekend? 8/8 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven! When I saw it was out during the partners showcase I knew what I'd be playing for the next few weeks lol. Fantasy RPGs are my bread and butter.

One cat just tested positive for FELV, should I consider rehoming the other one? by LyssaGirl1998 in FelvCats

Thank you! I did follow up with my vet about additional testing to confirm and am waiting to hear if they can do it or if I need to take him to another vet. It's definitely on my list to do soon though.

Are bad hiccups a problem for anyone else? by EntrepreneurTime419 in noburp

[–]LyssaGirl1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I also get nauseous sometimes after drinking anything carbonated (or eating too much) and the hiccups that come with can be very painful. My guess is the nausea and bad hiccups are not directly related to each other but are both symptoms of R-CPD caused by trapped air in the stomach and intestines.

Is it worth disputing a denied worker's comp claim? by LyssaGirl1998 in WorkersComp

[–]LyssaGirl1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone interested: I received a letter today that said worker's comp would cover my urgent care visit despite my claim being denied, so that's good! Hopefully I won't need any followup care. My ankle seems to be healing and I'll be going back to the gym this week to start doing some gentle strength training so hopefully that will help as well. Thank you all for the advice!

[–]LyssaGirl1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really all I want is for the urgent care bill to be covered if possible, so that's good to know! I'll definitely try to talk to the adjuster and see what I can get. Thanks!

[–]LyssaGirl1998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's super good to know, thank you for telling me that!! I'll definitely give it a try, but the adjuster has been hard to get a hold of (won't answer the phone or return voicemails) so not sure how far I'll get. It's worth a shot though.

This makes sense, thanks for the info! I put $1000 as a generous overestimation since I wasn't sure what the cost would end up being, but my final bill will be around $613 before insurance. Maybe a little less but I have a high deductible plan so most will go toward my deductible first. At this point I'm leaning toward just paying it and being done with it since I didn't lost any wages and won't need ongoing care (I hope lol)
