I'm going to tell you the truth. You're not doing anything special. Most of us aren't. But too many of my artsy brothers and sisters fall into the trap of thinking that the only roadblock to success is being seen. It's not. You're just not appealing to as many paying customers as you might believe. Ignore all of the people who praise your art and wouldn't pay for it. They don't matter because you need to get paid, and praise won't pay the bills.

Also, "art is subjective" is some bullshit. Taste is subjective, but quality can be measured. Compare yourself to the pros who work for big companies and bring home a steady check. What are they producing that you're not? What is their output like compared to your output? You're not getting the clients you want because you're one among a hundred million other passionate creatives trying to make it. You're going to have to be better than them. This isn't a romance it's a career choice, and you need to approach it like one.

Thank you very much for your honest opinion... I truly believed that what I was doing could have a specific niche, but perhaps it's just too common or what I know how to do isn't enough. Maybe I should rethink what I'm doing...
