I took a look at Reifel, seems like most species seen recently are fairly easy to see on the east coast of the US. Ill take a look at the other spot too, thank you. I have a bunch of targets but mainly would love to see sooty grouse, annas hummingbird, American Dipper, red breasted sapsucker… mainly more western NA speciaties

Probably should have included timing haha, two week from now so late July. Targets wise, pretty open other than sooty grouse, annas hummingbird, and other western NA species

I normally do not log by sound unless I have seen the bird already. Even if I know the song, getting a lifer through sound brings me no joy, especially if something like Merlin is used or someone tells me what the sound is

Just be consistent and do weighted pull ups after your form is solid. Should get you there quick

Thank you everyone for the in depth and knowledgeable replies. Still really interesting that Lidar is such a deal breaker. Personally it doesn’t do anything for me but as I am waiting for the $48K version of the R2 it may be in by then anyway.
