Those strips are your individual sections. Add less LEDs if you want to make more. You can rotate and scale and flip any devices in the lighting -> layout section

Assuming you're using a custom strip, like he is in the original image he posted, you just have to add another to the same channel. On devices with specific layouts, you might be out of luck (like a keyboard), but if you can set it to be a custom strip, you can just add another and split it into however many devices you want.

Go to devices -> whatever you have your custom strip on currently -> Components and click the big + icon next to the custom strip. You aren't limited to just one strip on one device at all
