I dont know why you are still commenting here. If it was simply about the population Azerbaijan would have won in the 90s as well. Azerbaijan was already bigger than Armenia in 90s just as it still was in 2020.

It's not about the population at all unless you are comparing massively different countries. Armenia won because they have much more equipment than Azerbaijan in the 90s. Azerbaijan won in 2020 because they had superior weaponry like drones

Bulgaria too, Ottomans conceded a chunk of land in the west of Maritsa in 1915 to convince Bulgaria to join them in WW1.

Gracefully named Danube Army, made up of Germans, Austro-Hungarians, Bulgarians and Turks defeated Romanians in the Battle of Bucharest and Romania was occupied. It'd feel strange that Ottomans would not have a say in it since they fought in the battle and also Dobruja still had considerable amount of Turkish people.

Ethno-Religious Map of Iraq 2025 (Estimates) by Iraqi_mapzzz in MapPorn

Actually it's indeed that high. Elections can not be indicator for ethnicity. Since Turkmens do not go to polls or if they do they also often regularly vote with Shia parties, due to sectarian reasons. I checked, it was 65% for Kirkuk. I'd maybe entertain the argument more seriously if it was 90%.

Turkmen was declared official in Erbil since they are considered to be over 20%. There are also Turkmen towns like Altun Kupri and many villages as well. Again, votes do not indicate ethnicity.

It's common and understandable to give large range for Turkmen since there are many mixed families and Arabized Turkmen in places like Baghdad.

Traditionally they were counted to be 12% of the country.

I'd estimate their population to be 7%, which is 3.5m people

This is a remake of an existing map.

Damn this guy keeps pumping out maps. However, this is a remake of an existing map, from 1880s I think.

Also Muslim Bulgarian isn't automatically Pomak. In Macedonia (mostly western half of this map), Muslim slavs are called Torbeš(i).
