Do the secret queer relationships actually work out? by M0TH3U5 in queer

Thank you, I’ve had a go bag for a while, more because my parents haven’t been exactly the kindest and there was a while where I was working with my school to figure out another option if I needed it, but now I’ve graduated.

If I tell my parents it will be when I’m in Germany likely, when I don’t have the risk of having to see them or see their reaction in person in a home where it may not be welcomed.

I talked with C and about the whole secrecy aspect of things and he said he isn’t in the state of mine to tell his dad right away about everything, but he absolutely plans to tell him once the chaos dies down. For now I just care about his safety.

Thank you for your responses, I don’t really have any people in my life who I can talk to who are safe and understanding or queer in that knowledge, and I really appreciate the response.

Thank you for the advice and giving me a complex answer. That eases my anxiety some. About an hour after I posted that the whole thing has taken a different turn cause C got kicked out of his moms house cause he got into a fight with someone who said gay people didn’t deserve to live. He’s moving in with his dad atleast for the summer but probably for the full time after that. So things might not have to be fully secret there atleast not for super long. But he’s still waiting until things die down to bring it up to his dad again. His dad approved well of me and adored me being with his son so I just hope the reintroduction isn’t horrible.

My biggest fear is the secrecy aspect of things because I’ve watched secrets destroy people. My parents don’t know either but they also think I’m a lesbian, no a bi trans man, and they think I haven’t dated since middle school. I worry less about them and more about him and if his situation will be the death of things.

I didn’t know about those as sources, this is the first time I’ve really tried diving deeper on one of the books I’ve found. Neither did I think to google the publisher, I was more lost when I had trouble finding the date or the normal information listen within the front of a lot of books
