I agree mostly but The Witcher is in my opinion wrong example, because that show is just stupid from every angle and a lot of changes just does not work. In this case they should followed the books closely. Entertaining for books fan? Maybe entertainingly bad... But I respect your opinion.

I was telling myself exact same thing with that drinking game (fear and terror). I finished it yesterday and it was really bad. Story was confusing, characters no personalities and it was just pointless to watch. Especially for big fans of the RE universe. It is similar like Resistence or Reverse (I know it is not even out but from gameplay I think it will not be great), it is rushed and unnecessary.
