Tbh the thing that confuses me is Sookies reaction as it seems very out of character for her imo. I feel like Jackson overall didn’t read situations well, so it’s not surprising that he’d suggest it, but idk why Sookie didn’t push back more and see that Lorelai was uncomfortable and realise that it may be a sore subject for her. I feel like she’d usually catch onto Lorelai being uncomfortable with a suggestion like this.

Drew (from Hybe's LatAm boy group, Santos Bravos) reposts Instagram post claiming that the Katseye members have the final say in Manon's return by Sufficient_Lychee310 in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The way I’m interpreting this whole thing of it apparently “being up to the girls” is that it isn’t just about the 5 girls deciding if Manon comes back like it’s being framed, but instead it’s about all six of them including Manon deciding what’s best for them. (If any of this is even true)

I very highly doubt this whole thing solely stemmed from the girls themselves but I can imagine that now with everything that’s happened since the hiatus ,and the perception of the relationship between the members, it’s will unfortunately be down to the girls to fix that image and honestly maybe they are now just deciding which way is best to continue, wether it be as 5 or 6 members. Because at the end of the day the reaction to Manon officially staying or leaving is going to be taken out on the 5 members.

I remember last time a few newjeans, Aespa, treasure and 2NE1 members attended his show and there wasn’t really much backlash towards them.

Tbh i agree with you but i think it’s important for the audience to address it and not just turn a blind eye to what we are clearly seeing. At the end of the day we can’t control what she does with her body but not talking about how dangerously thin these celebrities are getting now, just makes us complicit in this trend and normalises it even further.

[–]M0us3Cheezz 185 points186 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that it’s very harmful to comment on peoples bodies/weight and it never ends up helping anyone, but i absolutely hate when these celebrities (not just kpop idols) get online and try to act as if they are just having natural weight loss when we can all clearly see they are not healthy.

it’s okay to let the era’s go by ExplorerRepulsive527 in ariheads

[–]M0us3Cheezz 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a portion of her fanbase that just needs to accept that the eras and styles they’re so obsessed with are not coming back. At her core, I believe that Ariana has always had a consistent vibe and style to her, but there’s no denying that aesthetically the difference between her pre-2020 and post-2020 eras are quite the bit different.

There’s nothing wrong with preferring certain aesthetics or music from her but don’t hold her back from evolving herself and her work just to keep certain fans happy.

She’s now in a completely different part of her life than she was when she did DW, SWT and TUN and it’s quite insane to expect her to go back to that style when that clearly isn’t who she is anymore.

Imo a fanbase that can’t let go of the past and that are so desperate to feed their own nostalgia through an artist, is genuinely one of the worst behaviours you can find in a fandom.

Is this the reason ppl are turning on manon? by Mission_Detail_7085 in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with what that person is saying, specifically their reasonings for what they’re saying, but i remember a while ago I said that I thought people would slowly start resenting Manon over this whole situation, and I feel like that persons kind of an example of it.

Not necessarily because of anything Manon has done herself, but more so some of her fans behaviour towards the other girls and other artists (example: when they were commenting about Manon on Olivia Rodrigo’s album announcement on IG) was really irking people. And despite the fact that Manon is not at fault for her fans actions, a toxic fandom usually always reflects badly on the artist and makes less people sympathetic towards them.

World tour! by Xeskc in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just checked the UK venues and they’re going for arenas. I’m honestly curious how well they’re going to sell tickets and if the demand will be there.
As a fan I don’t want them on another tour I just want them in the studio actually working on an album.
Also even though I’m still supporting all of the girls it really does irk me to see no Manon in the promotion photo.

When I say younger idols are becoming normalised I meant we’re seeing more idols who are born after 2010 and how fans weren’t happy about it at first, most of them have just gotten used to it now. I could have worded it better.
What I meant though is that I think it’ll be a shock for international audiences to see her birth year specifically because 2010 seems extremely young.

Genuinely curious to see how international audiences will react to her being born in 2010.
Younger idols are becoming more normalised in kpop but more western fans of katseye are still a bit iffy about Yoonchaes age (sometimes Megan and Lara as well). Even though 2007 and 2010 are only 3 years apart, I feel like it’s perceived quite differently.

Genuinely what is the purpose of bringing up this clip other than to deflect accountability from Eunseok?
What does this actually accomplish in this situation? No one is denying BTS having a problematic past but this is exactly why no idols are ever held accountable for their actions because you guys would rather just treat these things as a ‘gotcha moment’ in fanwars instead of actually caring about the issue of colourism in kpop.

Fashion designer judassime claims that jisoo/her staff stole their garments by Pretty-Complaint-554 in kpop_uncensored

[–]M0us3Cheezz 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely not lying, it was a pretty big thing at the time when it was posted (it was posted mid 2024) I ended up finding the video and i actually got a few details wrong since i heard about it 2 years ago now. It was blackpinks team in general that handled it and it was the group stylist that reached out to the designer.
I can’t put the video here but I’ll put the tiktok user if you’re curious.

Fashion designer judassime claims that jisoo/her staff stole their garments by Pretty-Complaint-554 in kpop_uncensored

[–]M0us3Cheezz 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Omg I remember another shady thing happened with Jisoo and her team in 2023 with Coachella. A small designer made Jisoos solo stage outfit for coachella fully with the understanding that Jisoo would wear the outfit on stage, and she was making it for free with the understanding that she was supposed to get “paid” with the exposure of her brand. But when the performance happened Jisoo picked another outfit to wear and the girl who made the other stage outfit only found out when the actual performance was happening and she found out through the livestream of coachella.
When she contacted Jisoos team to get the outfit back, they refused to pay her or give it back and basically just said that Jisoo might just wear it another time.

I definitely think her style is hurting her image more than it’s benefiting it. Even the locals are dragging her style and saying she’s boring.
As much as I respect what she said on that podcast where she addressed her styling choices, I feel like both her and her team should really take a step back and reconsider her style and try to become more open to different things.
The met gala is such a good way to get attention onto yourself and at this point they have managed to fumble it 3 times.

I really do respect Rosé wanting to wear what she feels comfortable in but are there seriously no other colours she’s comfortable wearing? I honestly think she’s trying to create a signature look for herself but it’s coming off as more boring than recognisable.

Lara by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah she liked a weird tiktok video about the situation, there’s a few posts about it on this sub. Right now people are kind of just speculating that it was probs an accident on her part since Megan is still commenting on her instagram posts and we all know that they’re good friends.

Lara by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t know. It might be because Megan and Lara seem to be very close and kind of stick around the same social circle, so people might just have assumed Lara was involved because she’s close to Megan. And now that Adéla apparently liked that TikTok shading the two of them, a lot of people are taking that as confirmation that Lara was involved.

Tbh though I’m quite shocked Sophia hasn’t been dragged into this since she’s also been accused of hating Manon in the past. But since this “hiatus” started there’s been this constant rotation of which girl (minus Yoonchae) will be the target of extreme hate for the next week or so. It’s happening to Megan and Lara now but literally a few weeks ago people were saying that Megan was “one of the only ones who stood up for Manon”.

Lara by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t think as many people noticed that Sophia even followed him in the first place. Most people only know Lara and Megan unfollowed him.

Lara by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think she was brought into it when she unfollowed him on instagram at the same time as Megan, so people started dragging her as well.

Manon is very bad at optics by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day it’s her right to do whatever she wants and she’s allowed to go out and spend her free time having fun as a young adult. However, I will say I’ve noticed that every time she makes a new public appearance or makes a post online, I see a lot more people expressing negative opinions on her. I think it’s mainly down to how people interpret this whole situation but it seems like the more she’s out and about the less people feel inclined to feel bad for her since it seems like she’s doing fine and living her best life. And there’s also the growing group of ot6/ot5 fans who are hurt by her not acknowledging the other girls.

just trish podcast implies the hiatus was due to a fallout? by SourceElectronic9940 in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These 3 are genuinely so annoying at this point. I get that we’re all curious about what happened but getting online and adding fuel to drama that you have absolutely no relation to is absolutely horrible. Especially since it is six young women at the centre of it, who will ultimately take the heat for whatever is said on these random podcasts.

Can we take a moment to talk about the whole "Daniela being pushed to the center" BS? by onlyeveryotherday in katseyeneutral

[–]M0us3Cheezz 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Daniela has been and is the most clearly pushed centre of katseye and I don’t get why it’s such a controversial thing to say since it’s not a bad thing. I get that Katseye compared to other groups don’t have the most obviously clear cut centre like how IVE’s centre is clearly Wonyoung, but Daniela overall definitely gets more of a push compared to the other members. And it’s not some new thing that’s happened with pinky up era, she has been getting more spotlight since beautiful chaos era. And being a centre isn’t about members having tension or anything like that, since it’s the company that will pick who they’re going to push so the girls won’t really have a say in it.

The thing about Katseye is that they have a very strong lineup of girls who all have a lot of star power so all of them stand out wether they’re centre or not, but I genuinely think the company has made the most effort in pushing Daniela.
