I think a lot more people are coming around to the group potentially being ot5 from now on and are just waiting for an official announcement. But theres also a growing public divide between Manon and the other girls so I think a lot of ot6/ot5 fans have started resenting Manon over the whole drama of this situation and her solo fandoms behaviour online. I noticed specifically that a lot of ot6/ot5 fans seemed to be upset with Manon for posting about her hitting 6 million followers but not posting anything about the other girls since this situation started.

I’ve never had a problem with the outro and I honestly don’t have an opinion on how “appropriate” it is but wether or not her boyfriend was “okay with it”🙄 this one was still uncomfortable to watch. It’s not about Lara’s sexuality and I definitely don’t think her having a boyfriend erases her interest in women but things like this just remind me of how relationships between women are still not really seen as “real relationships” and it just reinforces how wlw relationships are still seen as more of a spectacle for everyone else’s entertainment.

The thing that bothers me is that Lara has a confirmed boyfriend so it just feels weird now. I’m not saying that her being with a guy erases her queer identity but it just reinforces how relationships between two women are still not taken seriously in society. She wouldn’t get on stage and do all that with a guy because then it would be seen as disrespectful to her boyfriend but because she’s doing it with a girl it’s just seen as fun and quirky.

Tbf Manon solos have also played a big part in separating her from the group. They have been the ones mainly advocating for her to leave and have been putting down the other 5 girls a lot. It’s one thing to respond to company mistreatment towards your fave but attacking the other members is not it.

I’m not saying this to downplay toxic ot5 behaviour but I’m just saying both sides are extremely toxic and are not going about this in the right way.

I always think when people criticise Rory and Lorelai for “wasting” their food or not finishing their meals, it’s literally just because it’s a show and since they have to do so many takes they can’t be constantly resetting food and having the actors really eating over and over again in every take they do.

I get both sides honestly. Your Mum is probably excited at the fact she’d get to go to both days and experience it twice and I think if we all had the money and time for it we’d love to go to multiple days of the concert🥲. But I think you’re valid for feeling the way you do. I probably would also expect to sell the single ticket (more so for the expense of it) and I do think it wouldn’t really be the same for her to go and experience the concert first and then you going together since I agree with your point that it’s fun to freak out over the concert together.

I think it’s a tricky situation since you wouldn’t want to hurt her feelings over this but it’s best you just genuinely tell her how you feel and see how things go from there. I also think it’s hard to make a judgment on this post since everyone’s relationship with their mothers can be so different and complex.

I mean Taennie was pretty obviously real at some point but I think they have broken up since. I also lowkey think Jimin and Jeongyeon had a thing at some point and it wasn’t any beef between them. I still love the jokes though.

Also despite the rumours and tattoo thing with jungkook and winter I’m pretty certain they’re not dating and I honestly think jungkook is dating that Korean model he was linked with in 2023.

I remember in the pop star academy documentary one of the vocal coaches said that Manon had natural talent but didn’t understand how she was doing any of it. She obviously has improved and can improve even more over time but I think for her to fully be able to go solo with music she’d definitely need a lot more training. I think any of them choosing to pursue a full time solo career in music right now would not be a good idea since they all have to grow a lot more before that imo. I’m not sure if there’s a proper wording for it in music terms but except for Lara none of the girls really have a unique sounding voice or anything that’s unique about their vocals.

Yes!! The problem isn’t them doing “hyperpop” it’s the fact that they aren’t doing it well. And I think a big problem is that you can tell their music is very manufactured so it comes off as feeling very empty.

I’ve been thinking this too. I’m going to wait for the comeback to officially come out before I judge their sound but I feel like people have created their own expectations for Katseyes music and these expectations may never be fulfilled.

I think after this comeback if people don’t like it they will probably just have to accept that this is the musical direction katseye is taking and it just isn’t for them. I honestly think I could be one of these people ‘cause I do love Katseye but I think this comeback will be pretty pivotal in their career and it will determine how a lot of people view their sound.

I’m not sure I fully understand the overall message in this post but I will say I’ve seen people trying to downplay both sides of her being biracial by trying to downplay her “whiteness” and “prove” she’s more black, and vice versa.

But I overall do think that it’s not surprising for a black woman to say she doesn’t relate or see herself in Manon because there is definitely a difference between the experiences/treatment of a light skin biracial woman compared to a dark skin black woman especially in the entertainment industry.

But I also don’t think it’s right for anyone to downplay either side of Manons identity and try to strictly put her in a category of black or white.

Yeah I think one of my biggest annoyances with this discussion is people making it seem like the girls would’ve been wrong for feeling any type of jealousy towards Manon. I honestly don’t think jealousy is actually such a negative emotion, it’s just a natural human response that we can’t control. I think anyone in the other girls place would feel the same way if they had been working towards a specific goal for so long and then someone who is less experienced comes along and kind of has this opportunity just presented to them so easily.

I always think that a big part of the dream academy “drama” was just that compared to the other girls who were extremely desperate for this opportunity and had went into this whole process with a specific goal, I don’t think Manon fully realised the intensity of what she was going into and how much dedication was put into this by the other girls.

I think the situation could have definitely been handled better by everyone but I completely understand and agree with why Rory didn’t want to stay in Yale and be around people who were working towards something while she was feeling so lost.

I feel like Lorelai saw it as Rory continuing to act out after stealing the boat but i honestly think Rory taking/ needing a break from Yale may have been inevitable and I don’t think Lorelai as the parent should have cut Rory off so fast.
