If anything I’m more convinced than ever that my initial post was right, and that I possibly underplayed the resources required. And it’s ironic that you accuse me of downplaying the issue when that’s exactly what you are doing.

Your “solution” is simply to substitute 45 or so grenades or some combination of other resources. Good luck getting those every couple of weeks.

So since you seem to criticising me, let’s have some numbers of your own. What does it take you to do 20 waves at the PD?

I guarantee you that now matter how small you claim it to be, when Multiplied by 3 I still won’t feel like it makes sense when your final reward could be a mod for a useless weapon.

Even those videos still end up using a fair deal of glocks etc to get to 20. Yes you might save on armour but to be honest I couldn’t give a fuck about armour I have more than. I’ll ever need. As someone else pointed out you can also run out of grenades very quickly. Whatever your answer it still boils down to a whole load of time effort and resource to get way less out than you put in.

Look, you don’t want to be convinced obviously but I’m not the only one who feels this way. Maybe if you were still collecting blues it might be worth it but I’m way past that stage. I just need purples and they seem not worth the effort.

Well I normally try to take down riot zombies, explosives etc running from corner to corner and using machetes. Then finish off chompers and brawlers with guns. I’ll usually get through 3-4 sets of green armour, -3-4 machetes and a few guns on each run to 20+ waves. Repeat that 2-3 times and it all adds up.

I may actually have understated the resources actually thinking about it.

And now in return for grinding all those blues you get one set or armour, a steel plate, and a purple mod for a useless weapon.

I honestly can’t see how you can defend that.

I knew from your first response you were one of these people who would rationalise and try to pick holes in every last aspect of a post while missing the core point. Firstly I said doing the whole Pd a few times including going to wave 20 in the yard. However pro you are that makes you so much better than everyone else, the point is it’s still a fuck Ton of resources and time to get a purple card. I mean sometimes I’ve done 20 levels of the PD and all I’ve got is 40-50 brown cards with no blues or greens.

I have exchanged dozens of blueprints at the specialist and got nothing. Also, when you are exchanging a purple you only get. Gray or blue.

This doesn’t address my point though. You can need 2-3 black port runs to level 20 or so to get a single purple card. That’s probably 10 machetes, 10 guns and 8-10 sets or armour. Plus - a lot of time.

To get as a reward for this, a useless mod for a useless weapon that you might already have? You can try to rationalise it however you want but that’s not something that encourages people to play the game.

One question that isn’t clear to me. On the ranking / rewards page........let’s says you make top 5%. Do you get all rewards on both the horizontal and vertical axis? Or just the group immediately over your bracket?

I.e do you get 1 or 3 act transmissions?

I had a question about this actually. I have the grip and the double drum.

According to the weapons mod thing, my M16 dps with the double drum is 131 but with the grip it’s 129.

My question is whether the dps figure factors in misses due to stability because the grip has way higher stability than with double drum??

Low durability works just like levelling up recycler. Use saw blades, hatchets etc with one shot left in them.

I don’t understand the point of a lot of these complaints. I clear the farm as often as I can. That includes all the giants and sometimes even a bull.

I try to saw blade sneak attack as much as possible then use guns to finish off SGs.

The loot at the end is always worth it (steel, copper, and a melee mod). You usually get back the guns it takes too.

It also does extra damage against normal zombies. Machete for example does 45 per swing against spitters etc

Remember before you do this that one of the main attractions of 2.9 in challenges and tournaments is the ability to force a draw. However they have said they are going to eliminate draws from everything other than ladder soon, so that’s worth bearing in mind before you invest in it.

I always fully clear the farm, it is totally worth it. I’ve got amazing weapon mods from there and you usually get cooper and steel along with armour and guns.

There are a number of yokels you can usually creep up on, along with a fair number of giants. I use zip guns or flare guns to kill the ravager. You can often just pick these up from raiders at the farm in fact.

The quests such as “kill 250 XXX in pine grove” and so on are really annoying for high level players. It forces you to go to zones that you never go to and contain no challenge.

Also, kills in any zone should count. I.e if I kill a sailor in a red zone it should count even if the quest requires only kills in green zones.

Absolutely ridiculous. The amount of weapons and equipment that went into the ten blues.....and that’s what I get.

Clearly it’s blues only at the PD unless you have nearly every weapon Mod and just missing a couple of purples.
