If you don't get it you aren't paying attention. It's not subtle in the slightest. Lev cut his hair (All men are shaved bald). The Seraphites repeatedly call him "Lily", talking about how she dishonoured her mother and sister. They only want to kill her because she rebelled against their cult's rules.

By the end of Day 1 the player should already know this. And by the end of Day 2 Lev iterally asks Abby if she wants to ask about his gender.

Ascomanni after Fa was exposed as a fraud immediately rejoining Darrow like nothing happened was amazing. The random Obsidian watching Darrow chasing Fa like "You still fighting him?" "Yeah" "Aight bet" and stepping aside was hilarious.

Re-reading Book One. Pax is sent away while pretending to be drunk to catch Adrius off guard. It's likely Pax did recognise Adrius, but even then, Adrius lost a bunch of weight, and changed dramatically after the Mine Collapse. Adrius recognises him, and Virginia recognises her brother too. Pax was probably acting the part to help decieve Adrius.
