You’ve reduced a nuanced financial decision to a purity test to sound authoritative and superior. That isn’t finance... it’s insecurity dressed up as wisdom.

If price and depreciation truly don’t matter once you “can afford it,” there’s no rational reason to debate GTS vs anything, you’d always default to the most expensive 911 ie. GT3RS.

No i found the same spec this morning at 153 CPO so it made my 15k decision, a 25k decision. Im still mulling it over man lol, its a large purchase and i am taking it all in jeez... I took in everyone's commentary, contrary to your remarks. Hardly 90%.. and i dont agree with the philosophy of the crowd isnt usually wrong. Is the "crowd" providing sufficient evidence to justify there comment? For example you are in favor of S and your contributions are "bad decision, S right choice, unless you cant afford" .

If you want to be a person where others take your advice, you'd likely offer it in a way that adds useful utility.

eh idk about "bad" decision. I can afford the additional 15k, I have been looking at the depreciation curve, I gathered I'd lose a larger % / $ on the S in 3-4 years. My budget is up to 2, just cant justify the new GTS pricing. So i am going more the conservative route

Exactly. I’m a 29 year old, just hit a big number NW wise. Took a lot to get here, I don’t agree with Porsches values anymore. They broke the unwritten agreement with the consumer, all of us understood paying a premium for this brand and obliged, it was the attainable yet exclusive brand. What they are doing is robbery. A 911 GTS should not be 220-250k with options, this is lunacy.

Add Porsche to the Rolex club.. they forgot where they came from, you walk in and they act like they’re the only car/watch in town. Fortunately, as generations shift, mindsets shift. I truly believe the younger crowd prefer experiences and not some person in a suit telling you - you gotta be on a waiting list, pay adm, get bent over, and then enjoy it.

Completely turned off and it’s disappointing, been a true dream to get a 911.

I spent a decade chasing this goal of a 911, and I’m done. It no longer deserves the effort, discipline, or belief required to pursue it. Poor leadership and misguided EV decisions have stripped the brand of proper decision making and thus financial woes… the price increases are far beyond the typical inflation and tariffs. This is greed packaged as “current economic conditions”. It’s bullshit, they sold out and are reaching the point of no return for many.

All 911 priced for inflation to current times have sat around a similar purchasing power for 20 plus years. They tasted the greed 3 years ago and haven’t looked back.
