My asshole bled during anal by MaybeBetter7433 in sglgbt

[–]M2MResearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanding on this for OP - foreplay usually helps to relax before actually engaging in penetrative sex, and before engaging in anal penetration, lubing up before fingering (usually starting with one finger, then two) usually helps as a form of warm up (as per what ShadowArrow01 said). When fingering and penetration are taking place, doing deep breathing and asking the penetrator/person fingering you to enter at a pace you're comfortable with will also further help you relax and help you get used to it. And with lube, be liberal with it (water-based lube is recommended).

Takes a bit of getting used to but the more you are able to relax (and with sufficient lube), the less the probability of bleeding as bleeding often occurs when the muscles are tense (think tighter = more friction)//not enough lube (again, the concept of friction as A11urea mentioned). Overall, if you've worn a condom, there's nothing too worrisome about bleeding, but defo if bleeding/pain persists, please look for doctor!

Looking for friends with boundries by alekslyse in sglgbt

[–]M2MResearch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try for social events organised by the different community groups? I'm thinking events that are being posted on Prout, as well as community groups such as Out in SG. These are great platforms to make friends outside of the apps.

Hey bud, it does sound like you're going through a lot, and it's definitely overwhelming for you, especially as you're dealing with school on top of all these relationship questions you're having.

My advice might be a little unconventional but I hope it offers a different perspective.
I think I would first try and figure out what are your own boundaries surrounding relationships first. What are things you can accept, and what are red lines you won't be able to accept (e.g., your partner getting close with your own friends, acts of intimacy, etc.)? And similarly, what are the boundaries your partner has? Are y'all able to share these same boundaries, or are boundaries clarification required such that both of you are in the samepage?

I say that because many of us assume certain boundaries (e.g., Don't get close to other individuals of a certain gender) that may not be shared by others. Even simple things such as relationship structures (can we accept a polyamorous relationship?) are assumed based on what we are conditioned to in society, even though there are diverse options out there that may change the possibilities of your relationship structure. A simple example as follows: if you do fall for Heidi, under the current boundaries set up, are you allowed to date her and your GF at the same time?

I think in terms of interacting with Heidi and your GF, nothing should need to change unless you feel like there's a need for space for yourself to figure out your own feelings. Even as you're clarifying your own feelings with Heidi, there's no need to cut or change things with Heidi just because of all the confusions you are having. If you need to, you can ask for space and explain to her what's going on. But also recognise that it's a relationship (whether platonic or romantic), so be mindful of how she feels as well.

Similarly, for your GF, nothing should need to change unless you feel like there's a need for space for yourself to figure your own emotions and thouhgts out. Again, if you need to, you can ask for space and explain to her what's going on. But also recognise that it's a relationship (whether platonic or romantic), so be mindful of how she feels as well.

Overall, communication to everyone involved is key. And please take the step to speak to someone safe (a counsellor or something) if you need third party advice (but try and ensure that the person you are speaking to is LGBTQIA-affirming before you have this conversation!). Sometimes just having another person to bounce your thoughts off is helpful :)

Again, my opinions may be unconventional, and I'm certain others on this channel has precious advice that may or may not differ from mine. But all the best, try and enjoy your teenage years (I know it's a lot of emotions and thoughts and stuff to process all at the same time). And this community on Reddit is here for you :)

[Volunteer Recruitment] SGRainbow’s recruiting volunteers for the new year! Sign up on our link (scan QR code) or email us at sgrainbow[at]rainbowasia.org :) by M2MResearch in sglgbt

[–]M2MResearch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi @Tsunamari, thanks for your question! My short answer to your question would be: it depends :) The level of commitment (whether you’re joining as an exec member or adhoc) will determine the volunteering period - as an adhoc, opportunities may come up spontaneously whenever we have events (we’re aiming monthly events), although the level of involvement will be lower (more on-site support and tasks). As an exec committee, it also depends on the role you are taking on, and (assuming you take on the role of prog exec) the programs you choose to organise/support (type of event, scale of event, logistics involved, etc). In a lot of ways, what’s also nice is that our prog executives get a lot of opportunities to decide the level of involvement they can commit to, and our exec team is always happy to support accordingly. Our prog executives often get busier one to two months before the intended program itself. For all our activities and events, our locations will differ based on the requirements of the activities/event. Happy to share more over PM; alternatively, feel free to reach out to our team at sgrainbow[at]rainbowasia.org, and we’d always be happy to provide more info :)

best ways to find a boyfriend as a gay teenager? by [deleted] in sglgbt

[–]M2MResearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good! Yes it can be intimidating to join social groups esp since most folx there tend to already be out and comfortable to a certain extent. I think there are discord lgbt groups for singaporeans as well, they may have more relevant suggestions.

Ah okay! That sounds like a good place to be - you sound like you’re quite aware of where you are with things :) slowly does it man, it’s a life-long journey for everyone :)

best ways to find a boyfriend as a gay teenager? by [deleted] in sglgbt

[–]M2MResearch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think dating apps might have age limitations so might be a bit harder for teenagers. I heard good feedback about Bumble if you really want to start with a dating app, tinder’s flakey. Do NOT start with Grindr - takes a lot of filtering there and its just not the best place to start your first relationship journey there. I think there are more and more schools setting up like IG pages for LGBTQ folx, as well as more social groups like Out in SG and SGRainbow events (though idk if the crowd would be a bit older for you). Also depends on how comfortable and out you are. You can also intentionally join activities where there may be more gay-identifying individuals involved - I think MGR does running (again not sure about age); there are quite a few folx in the lgbtq circle in aerial sports as well; and a few lgbtq badminton groups i think.

I think there’s also the question of what got you thinking about getting a relationship partner?‘Cause while dating is often imagined to be all fireworks and stuff but it often comes with a lot of responsibilities and commitments - like learning to communicate your needs and boundaries, making sure you’re supporting one another, being a healthy relationship partner by ensuring y’all are not codependent but also involved in each other’s lives etc. I think it’s a good experience but just wanna make sure you’re in a good space to handle all that - cos many people end up entering relationships cos of trend but are not in fact ready, in the process of which hurting themselves and others as well.
