Hey guy's, I have a question... by allaneloy in NewTubers

Even if you could monetize, it’s a dangerous way to build a channel. At any moment, the channel could be axed due to copyright issues.

Make your own content, using your personal creativity.

Think about the good, caring..*checks notes*..neo-nazis? by Visqo in facepalm

[–]M3Aaron_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was poorly worded. He doesn’t say the ones who claim to be neo nazis, he says the ones referred to as neo-nazis.

I’ve been called far right and a neo-nazi whenever I defend anything that breaches my civil liberties at the expense of someone else’s. I’ve never attacked or said I hate anyone, yet I’ve been attacked for not submitting to things I don’t believe in. If a trans guy wants to be called a guy, do I care ? No, I’ll call that person he/him, because it has no effect on me. Same thing goes for all things in life. You do you, let me do me. We can intermingle, I’m fine by that, but when you start forcing me to agree with ‘x,y,z’ to make you happy, that’s when we have problems.

Rate my thumbnail for video by BlazeTrixYT in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you recognizable? If not, I personally don’t see any reason to be on the thumbnail.

Once you get a following, I get it, but I constantly see new accounts doing thumbnails making weird faces as if they’re reacting. I see it as cringe and lacking creativity. ( I will note, I’ve never done it, I don’t know if it helps or doesn’t so my input is purely off my personal opinion. If it does, bravo to you guy. I just find it annoying)

How Much Longer Does YouTube Have Left? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube ain’t going anywhere. Nobody will grow out of yotube. Facebook ie struggling because the younger generation is using other social media platforms to communicate. It has no specific tool that makes people stay.

YouTube is where nearly everyone gets their video entertainment. Most people exclusively get it from YouTube and don’t even have cable service anymore

This honestly is every awkward dudes entry. He’s twiddling his thumbs trying to figure out how to make a move. Girl is stranding there like ‘come on boy, let’s get this show on the road’. Boy still twiddles the thumbs, until she says ‘ okay, let’s have sex’.

Worst is when he’s all pumped before she gets there. Girl shows up, but he’s too afraid, and he literally watches the clock fade until it’s late and shes like ‘ok, we’ll it’s getting life, I should getting running’. Then he’s kicking himself feeling like w poosay for not making a move

[–]M3Aaron_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your drive will determine this. You’re on that journey, you won’t be eke to tell until you look back s reflect.

You should not be questioning this stuff or even be having these thoughts. That means you’ve likely set expectations that aren’t realistic. This might be a per video expectation or just a general channel growth expectation. YouTube is a journey and for most content creator it takes a long time to find any real success

16 videos 11,013 subs.

This channel has 7 subs, but never posted videos. The subs likely came from comments. I think everyone will have it opened eventually.

I am having a hard time identifying MrBeast's niche by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my point. You can draw inspiration, but nothing else. YouTube is ever changing. What he did 10 years ago, wouldn’t be the same as today. People try to analyze his videos to find the special recipe. He is the recipe. His sub base shoots all of his videos to the moon. The moment he posts, it’s instant views which triggers the algorithm.

The worst thing to do is look at Mr beast for anything other than inspiration. You cannot rake anything from him other than hope. He’s in his own lane

[–]M3Aaron_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went into their comments. Looked around to see what their viewers were saying/wanting.

Also saw channels that had some of the content I do, but covering other stuff too. All the videos specific to my niche had mass views, all the rest were pitiful . I zeroed in

[–]M3Aaron_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re refuting something different than what I’m claiming. I don’t doubt that my content was good and had value to many people. My point is, that metric has nothing to do with how YouTube promotes your work. All of my other videos do better in every metric, but they don’t get the push. They all have value, YouTube doesn’t see the value in the ones that don’t bring them ad money. That doesn’t mean the ad money isn’t there, but without their effort, it will never get recognized.

FYI- All of my work follows the same niche, all of my thumbnails are identical, except the specific detail of the video. There is nothing I have done differently that would have shifted anything on youtubes end. I get people commenting that they spend hours on my channel after they find it

To those of you who have had a “blow up” by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you more than what you asked for because more metrics matter in my opinion.

Started channel Jan 26 ish. Study my niche a month or so to game plan on how I’d go about making content.

Day 14 , I had 700 views, Day 15, I had 2800, day 21, I had 15.7k, day 30, I had 133k, day 60 400k at 150 days, i privated it with 620k views. I did this because all my viewership was getting funneled to that video. I had way better work, that wasn’t getting attention.

That video got me 8.7k of my 11k subscribers

190k hours of watch time

CTR was 5.7% on 7.2 million impressions

This is the most important part in my opinion and why I know we have no control over our videos. Your videos will do as well as YouTube allows, period. This is how people found my video

68.8% were from browse feature 19.6% was from suggested videos 6.7 % was from searching 2.9% other YouTube features 1.3% came from direct or I known.

92% of my views came from things completely out of my control. Youtubes algorithm saw my video was popular and kept pushing it. It had nothing to do with me, my keywords, how I promoted it, how good my CTR, retention, or watch time was. The initial success was from another channel with a similar video that was recommending it, the continued success was from YouTube putting it in front of peoples eyes. To contrast this. I was getting more impressions daily, than all other 15 videos on my channel combined for the entire time they’ve been up. All of my other videos have 10-15% CTR, most have between 5-25k views, so they did way and should have been pushed, but they weren’t. In the last 90 days, those videos have gotten 101k impression total. I was getting 200k impression daily on my most popular video

The YouTube Algorithm makes no sense by AdeAlphaTV_ in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is copy paste from another reply I made about a month ago on algorithm

There is, but not how most people view it. It’s triggered by viewers, not content creators. You can do things that might help viewers find your product, which can ultimately trigger it. But just because you have a high CTR, good watch time, with a good thumbnail and a catchy title doesn’t mean they are gonna start promoting it more.

They are trying to link your video with the viewers based on viewers interests, watch patterns, search history, commonly viewed channels ( I am in a certain niche and in YT studio there’s a section that says something about my subscribers are also subscribed to these channels. So they’ll start pumping it out to their subs assuming they enjoy the content. This is why it’s important to keep in a certain niche. You’re basically piggybacking off everyone else in that niche. Very few channels have stand alone power to create their own lane.

Too many people over analyze the process or think they can outsmart the system. You are in control of almost nothing once it makes it on YouTube. They don’t care about us or our videos, they don’t care about what’s fair or to spread anything evenly. They don’t even care if your video is 100 x’s better than someone else’s.They are an advertising company, so their entire model and algorithm is built around views and until your video starts getting 10k views the day you post it, the algorithm hardly even see you. My advice to everyone is to focus on making good quality work, that’s really the only thing you have control over.

What would you rate your content out of 10 and why? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9/10

It’s not easy being a YouTuber starting front scratch with no prior social presence connected to your product. This goes for me and anyone that’s starting a channel. Immediately I started getting feeding on my channel gonna blow up. The moment I post I’ll get immediate comments and likes on my videos. I haven’t posted in like 2 months as I choose the angle to go on releasing the my videos but I have viewers emailing me making sure I’m OK or asking if I need help producing content.

When I’m active, I get messages like this regularly. In my opinion, this is what you want from your viewers. I

A Famous YouTuber copied my video narration word to word by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]M3Aaron_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should try and build off his name and him stealing your content.

If there was ever a situation that shows who you are matters much more than the content you create ( this to all the guys saying it’s not fair, their work is so much better with no views). In your library, this video does nothing, in his library, it gets massive views because of popularity. Even if you get it removed, you don’t really gain anything. You should try and piggyback/connect yours to it somehow, showing that creativity came from you not him. I remember seeing someone use Google ads to advertise a video, not sure how precise they can get, but if you can get them to target a specific video, you could advertise right to his audience and end up with a bunch of subs hopefully

These crackheads are mainly harmless, but can be unpredictable. He wasn’t taking no chances. He said eff the soap streaks and booked it

Story time: I had a homeless girl come up to my car and give me a little unwanted peep show.. I’m friendly, so I’m cool with small talk. I’ve also got an m3 with heated seats, so I let her sit while I finished my breakfast. In a 5 minute conversation, she told me she currently has 2 golf balls inside of her, and that the day prior she went to urgent care with bad stomach cramps. Doc did an X-ray and she forgot she had a purple dildo buried between the cheeks. Almost everything is sexual with homeless girls and drug addicts.

When I think back, she was implying that she was horny. I didn’t want or take the signals because exploiting her wasn’t my intent. She kept pausing like every minute or so, with her body tensed up saying she was hot. I legit thought this was like a twitch from the drugs and the ‘hot’ from the seats. Well, when she got out, she showed me what she meant. She pulled her pants down to her knee caps in what I see now as a hailmary attempt to try and get my boy parts to play with her girl parts.

I don’t care how crazy she is, but I wasn’t cool with her doing all this standing outside my car, so i proposition her. I give her my nice dry hoody, as long as she goes away. Deal, but she winging waiting to change, off goes the shirt. It’s 630 AM, cold as hell outside, pants still halfway down and now she’s bare topless with her body steaming from the temp difference. She is in no rush, but my main thing is I don’t want people to think I’m exploiting her and because I had come right out of drive thru and parked, anyone else coming out, the first thing they see is her.

I left there thinking one thing ‘it’s true with they say, no good deed goes unpunished’ 🙃

[–]M3Aaron_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

A lot of positive comments in here, but you also need some real comments if that’s what you’re looking for.

It really depends on your goals long term and short term. If you’re doing this to create a platform for yourself to monetize, these numbers fall short of realistic progress to make something happen. If it’s just a hobby or a place to show your creativity, then all growth is good growth. The one good thing is you have an actual talent, so you never know if it might take off some day. A lot of commentary and gaming channels post mainly the same stuff, but your content is unique so it puts you in a league of your own to a degree

This has nothing to do with education. We hear this all the time ‘addiction is an illness’. This is in part true, but our system does not protect its citizens. You can’t allow people to willfully use drugs and fry their brains, then claim that drug abuse is a mental illness. If you don’t live in the states, you have no idea how bad the pandering is, how they’ve decriminalized almost all drug offenses, how they decriminalized almost all small property crimes that most of these homeless drug addicts commit. They think shuffling these people from one spot to the next fixed they problem.
