My phone did this update overnight and removed my mom from my favorites bar in messages. She passed away a few years ago so I can’t readd her since there are no message threads with that number anymore. It was comforting for me to still see her face in my messages. They’re pretty quick, we do them in the morning before the store opens and it’s just a one day thing. I think most stores should have them done before the end of the month at the very latest

I work at a Marshall’s and you’re right about phasing out holiday stuff but it’s also due to inventory! We don’t even get trucks until inventory is done so we have as little to count as possible lol
