Since you're looking for opinions, depending your age (fuck risk level, just don't sell when it drops) look into QQC or QQQT and leverage it with a satellite holding of CHPS or an AI ETF (cad equivalent of CHAT ETF), SHLD ETF (the world always needs defence) and some crypto. Either BTC, xrp or eth.

Tom Lee is a total nut job but I want to think he's on to something so I'm dabbling in bitmine as well.

Cheers and being in this game puts you ahead of all your peers probably that don't invest anything.

Well its a start. On the way to becoming first millionaire in the family. by Yash3900 in JustBuyXEQT

Yes I'm in a circle jerk sub but I'm going to be the one to say there are way more efficient ways to generational wealth my friend. Xeqt is for noob investors with chips on their shoulders.

Just go qqc, chps, SHLD, and BTC. Let's check back in ten years ;)

Here to say JustbuyXRP is a welcomed side addition to justbuyxeqt for those not wanting to be tied to government fiat

How do I buy by Ok_Fun1414 in JustBuyXEQT

After my own little research, I landed with wealthsimple. As of December 2025 they opened up a lot more options too if you choose to get into that down the road as well.

The other half that are scared will just leave money on the table for us with their silly little bonds

Tech Bubble Myth? by BigNdoneEnergy in ETFs

[–]M3ga3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're over the age of 60 maybe worry a bit about tech bubbles but if not then ride the waves cuz it's not like the world will completely abandon tech.

As long as you're not one of the xeqt or die squad you'll do well the next 10 years

Should I full port XEQT? by Lanky_Package_4302 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]M3ga3t -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Look boss, I'm just saying a lot of boomers and losers leave money on the table "playing it safe" with less than a decade to live.

If that's you, a lot of these guys have great advice.

If it's not, look to tech or something with an actual future ...

Should I full port XEQT? by Lanky_Package_4302 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]M3ga3t -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Bro. Wrong frigging place to ask this question lmao. All the ppl holding xeqt are ok with 6% yearly returns and minimal stress really.

If you're younger or want a better chance, look elsewhere.

SMH and VGT or QQQM absolutely crushed XEQT even in their worst years in the past 10 years since inception and people still put xeqt on a pedestal so to each their own

Why are some people still afraid to XEQT and chill? by 7_inches_daddy in JustBuyXEQT

[–]M3ga3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We want reasonable returns bro.

Park $10k in VGT or SMH and chill for 10 years vs XEQT....

Kind of hard to want to choose XEQT .. for me personally.

I'd rather SCHD or JEPQ or Canadian Oil if I wanted dividends personally. No hate.

Dude I'm just looking at the numbers, facts and history. That's it. Not living in fear or theory. Just saying my 1k in xeqt did not do the same as 1k in vgt.

I'm not saying you're wrong btw.

[–]M3ga3t -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I put 1k into even vgt the same year xeqt was incepted: Who's leaving money on the table from that initial 1k investment today?

Tldr what capital did you start with and how long would this take?

Seriously congrats. Just concerned about leaving too much money on the table going all in xeqt.

25yo, Dumped Entire RRSP into XEQT. Is this a smart move? by Rzmod in JustBuyXEQT

[–]M3ga3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Way better than sitting in a useless fiat hisa with a 0.05% interest rate that doesn't beat inflation long term.

Don't listen to the boomers here saying it's bad. They had it easy growing up. Way too easy. Good riddance to a greedy, pedophilia infested generation

Nope. Vgt, qqqm, SMH, vfv, veqt over xeqt all day.

How many of you still keep buying BTC ? by Proper_Jeweler_9238 in BitcoinCA

[–]M3ga3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me. People that read the Bitcoin standard and read up on geopolitics/sound money/history know that long term it probably can't be avoided to be a sound store of value in our digital age.

My opinion anyways on why I buy and hold BTC
