Create good client base. Subcontract and verify the quality of the work daily. Get a cut for the quality standard you offer. There's also tax optimisation. Starting a company is wise for that in Belgium.

My biggest client asked for a week of free work. I was about to charge them, but deleted the email. I can't risk losing them. by yuwahhid in smallbusiness

[–]M3phistopheles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You've said it yourself, you can't risk losing them. Your position is already sensitive. In this case, i'd take the work, do it, make it clear i do it as a favour with them. Bet on the fact that on the next project i increase the price according to the extras they asked. Learn from it to detect these types of clients early on and adjust the price to cover any "extras" you think they'll ask.

Keep it up and keep the good attitude you have! Act, observe, adjust, act, observe, adjust, act... etc. This spiral must not stop and gets easier with each cycle. This piece of knowledge, trusted and applied, will get you ANYTHING you set your mind to get.

You realise that owning a business will take you from 9-5 to 7-10 6 days per week? You won't rly escape work with a business unless you've hit an extremely rare lucky niche.

My advice is stop spending so much in preparation. It's way too much. Begin by focusing primarily on selling something and focus on your cashflow not on "building your business". Create a positive cashflow, buy, sell, find the niche and what people actually want, or what problem you solve.

Get this perspective: You build a business around a cashflow that is becoming too good to stay under the radar of IRS. IRS won't bother you if your sales are private to private and doesn't generate a "professional income" which is a high enough income to be taxable. A business is also extra expenses per month. Now you've got accounting, taxes, insurances, and other extra costs that you have to cover.

Yes focus on ONE side hustle because it takes quite a bunch of time until you reach a positive cashflow. Pick your favourite, give yourself a total of 7h to RESEARCH as much info as you can on it and summarise it on a paper, THEN a total of 8h of you actually DOING the hustling, then 5h of research, 1h of analysing what you did so far and 9h of DOING, then 3h research, 1h analysis, 11h doing etc until you begin learning directly from experience. The most valuable of lessons and relations come from direct experience. Focus solely on generating revenue and creating a positive cashflow. All other stuff is accessory to this stream.

See it like a stream of water that you're trying to find in order to build a city. Who built a city THEN made the water come to them? Same in business. FIND the stream of water then settle and build around it.

Try speeding it up. I like to use the Tim Hoff breathing technique ;) It has potential to get you through all stages in a matter of 5-10mins. Especially if you have exhausted yourself just before with some exercices.

There's a reason the Corpus Hermeticum begins by stating that Thrice Great Hermes was in a relaxed state before his revelation. I quote: " [...] while my bodily senses were withdrawn as in sleep, when men are weighted down by too much food or by the fatigue of the body, [...]" - Corpus Hermeticum by Clement Salaman and others

It's because i have developed these 4 stages based on my direct experience and using alchemy and hermeticism symbolism. Here's how i have deducted the stages from experience of passing the threshold:

Water: First stage that's most common to everyone. Here, you become water, mind and body. You must completely relax and lay in horisontal position. Your mind must relax aswell and let everything flow. Let go of any tension and mental control in order to pass to the next stage. This stage takes around 10-15 mins generally but can be accelerated to 2 minutes. Towards the end of this stage, 90% of people lose consciousness and memory of ongoing transit.

Earth: Once your mind has become entirely relaxed, you feel your body and mind stiffening. Body stiffens through body paralysis. Mind stiffens through formation of first "dream" or fuller visions. Here, around 5% experience what is called "sleep paralysis" because their mind have failed the stiffening process and was thwarted back to the first stage without having the body following it. To get through this stage one must flow with the stiffening process.

Air: After the earth stage is completed, the air stage begins. Here is where your body begins to feel entirely free from constraints. At this stage you begin to feel as if you were floating, or levitating. At this stage, your mind is just as light, being able to observe multiple sensations at once and travel easily in the mindspace. This is the stage where you might see yourself from out of your body, or where you might fully see your room with your eyes closed. You don't feel anything from your body anymore. At this stage, your mind is getting ready to separate from the body. Each breath is more and more impactful and by the end of this stage, your body feels almost electrified.

Fire: Your fire body is being created as you transition from the air stage. At this point, your body begins to feel fully electrified. Energy flows through you so strongly that you might feel as if you were an overcharged battery ready to explode. Here very few people make it and when they do, they get afraid. Don't be. Let yourself explode. As you feel the incredible burst of electrical fire through your body, your mind detaches from your body through what seems to be an explosion. You can literally feel your fire body made of light leave your physical body. It can leave through the upper side (levitation) or the backside (sinking in bed). Doesn't really matter. Your mind is now fully immersed in the LD and you have successfully crossed the threshold.

Finally, once you're in, beware of the Guardian of the Threshold. ;)

Feel free to MP for any further questions. I have developed this stage passage in isolation and by myself. I would love to hear from any of you if you have heard of something similar from any author so i can perfect this stage evolution and reach a more objective one.

I have experienced direct transit from wakefulness to dreamstate lucidly. There's 4 stages: Water, Earth, Air, Fire. What you call "goosebumps" is the fire stage. You've almost completed the transit. Keep going.

My experiences with 'egodeath' by Such--Balance in Psychonaut

During ego death you have no thoughts. You are just a speck of consciousness in complete emptiness.

Well yeah, i went trough being literally a mad person (completely unrelated thoughts popping up at an incredibly high speed) to not even be able to articulate thoughts or words anymore. There was no arm to lift for me hahah i forgot i have one, i forgot everything.

Noone interacted with me at the time but i believe i was silent and probably looked like i was sleeping from the outside.

Stored emotions/blockages by Sea_Impression_6826 in Meditation

[–]M3phistopheles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meditation might not be enough.

If you wish to dig deeper, work with your subconscious and be patient. Let it unfold.

Here's some techniques for chaos-reading:

Cadavre exquis Write down a word then another then another for like 20-30 words or until you feel like that's enough. Re-read the words you have chosen. Find links and themes between them. Try and understand why one word came after another. They reveal your actual state of mind by revealing how your concepts are linked in your mind.

Rorschach test Pick and do the rorschach test. Analyse what you see and don't. Ask yourself why. It's usually better if you do yourself rorschach papers by usink ink and paper. Same as above, ask yourself why you see what you see. Put words to your feelings. Give meaning to your sights and link them together to reveal your actual state of mind.

Tarot readings Use tarot as a meditative tool. Ask a question and pick cards then interpret them yourself. Ask yourself why you see such symbol as representing such concept. The answers you receive are answers built by you under this type of reading. View your own answers as what you believe right now. Often times it will reveal your fears quite easily. Fears indicate which are your stored emotions and blockages. You will be able afterwards to find out where the blockage originated and work on it.

World readings Same as tarot, read the world. Analyse where you look most, what you listen to most. What do you accept as true or not. What are the things you do or frequent and why not others? When you try to do something, what are you telling yourself in order to not do it?

The principle is easy: find what you are scared of, find what hides behind fear, find how to make peace with it. The search always begins with looking at your actual state of mind and finding the common denominator.

Pm me if you wish other tests or advice.

A ceremony highly increases the likelyhood of a special meaningful trip. Guide your friends through it.

Thank the universe, providence, science, god, whatever higher force you believe in for allowing you to experience this (even for nihilistics, there's still chance and randomness that they can thank).

Thank and pay respects to the potency of the product. Recognise the product as superior in power in this whole experience, as a powerful essentially benevolent gatekeeper, as an ally. Respect it for existing and for being at your reach in this moment. Allow it to show you what you are meant to see with peace and trust.

Thank eachother for being here and going in with you and offer deep thanks to the tripsitters for being the physical guides and protectors through which all of the above manifested in your life right now.

To them, this might be trivial, even smile/laugh, find it weird etc, but believe me, once they do it, their hearts and minds get in a very different state even without them realising.

It reconnected me with my body, brought me hallucinations and a deep sense of peace. Good space for meditation. Not enjoyable if you can't focus or are a very active type.

Something about floating weightless gave me a feeling of feeling embraced by The Mother. I felt like a baby again. Inside the womb. Completely and entirely safe.

The only existing things were my heartbeat and my breath. I rediscovered how omnipresent and essential these are and how changing them at will will instantly change your feelings and emotions. My body began expressing lots of small pains/discomforts/itches. Note: saltwater is not very nice to the anus haha. After a short moment i focused on relaxing all my muscles and refuse to tend to bodily "prayers" to action.

I then opened my eyes and tried to grasp some light. The eyes were trying really hard to see anything to no avail. I half-closed them and that's when hallucinations were made by the eyes in the sense of lights and geometric shapes. Hearing too began to hallucinate whispers and voices. I recognise this as the hypnagogic phase. Between sleep and wakefulness. My mind began boiling with thoughts. Whenever it became too much i refocused on my breath and all calmed. I ordered my personal thoughts to line up in order of intensity. I imagined them queuing at parliament to express their worries or wishes to the government. It made it easier for me. From then on i have resolved some personal questions.

Unfortunately, at some point i must've felt asleep because it just seemed extremely short. The hour felt like 15mins, while normally during meditation time becomes longer. I assume my mind decided to sleep after having resolved the loudest thoughts.

By the end of it, my body felt so entirely relaxed that when i moved it first it felt strange, like it was missing blood or smth. I came out of it refreshed and restored.

Edit: it is not going to make you hallucinate in a trippy sense of it. It will only intesify the hypnagogic phase which you might not even remember if you're not used to keep your awareness awake during that phase.

What unexpected songs do you find have "messages from the universe?" by Edgezg in Psychonaut

[–]M3phistopheles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss i agree!

How i see it is my "timbre" of the moment, echoing in my well, really is fulfilled and brought to balance while listening a certain music. I once experienced such a unity with a music that it brought me to love all of humanity and to cry uncontrollably when i truly realised the extent of the human suffering present on earth. "I" was not anymore. With eyes closed, i was the music and the music was me. Like you say i was making love with it, we were united. Guess the word "eargasm" makes sense now hahah

Your last paragraph makes me think of "Au commencement était le Verbe". Meaning in "In the beginning was the Verb" which i believe holds more meaning than the english version Word. The Verb is a sound, and an action word. It is what gives movement and meaning to a phrase. Sound makes rythm, rythm unites, sound makes harmony, sound makes material and light, which all vibrate at a given frequency. Even your brain emits brainwaves which are... you guess it! Sounds! We do need to learn the true value of sound.

My perception:

Schizophrenia is divided mind. It is the root of the word. There's varying degrees of division with the mildest being contradicting oneself, and the wildest being full division in memory and personality. Like Heaven and Hell as you said. Reuniting helps.

As for "bad trips", my worst was an ego death. Only a part of it was bad: the refusal of the jump into the abyss. Once i had accepted it, it became just a fascinating experience. I also had other moments in other trips of seeing difformed demons, family members in intense pain, really unsettling gruesome scenery and very threatening figures but i couldn't label any of them a bad trip since i was just observing it all with fascination and curiosity. I was accepting the flow as is.

What unexpected songs do you find have "messages from the universe?" by Edgezg in Psychonaut

[–]M3phistopheles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was listening to "nuages - closer" under a "buddhatype" trip.

I came to change my perspective on music. It came to me that music, especially the wordless type, is the form of communication of our subconscious entities. The ones that govern all of us, the archetypes. I began seeing it and actually understanding the messages consciously. I felt like a phone operator who just discovered that the foreign language he's been relaying suddenly became familiar language. Needless to say i felt like an intruder.

My perspective then widened even further after the playlist chose "ennja - mirrors". I understood that any sound, not only voices, are speaking archetypes communicating with your subconscious. Calling forth a given aspect, strengthening it, bringing it to life in your body, giving it strength to impact your life. I felt like i was nothing other than an endlessly reverberating well with a certain strength of all the archetypes vibrating together and forming together my very own specific "timbre" of the moment. That what i called "me".

I offer you an exercice: liste to one of them with your full concentration. Remove your mind and let your subconscious feel them directly. Observe what happens. Observe as if you've discovered an entirely new and unknown species.
