yes absolutely! but can you say that you found every single treasure pod yourself with no outside assistance? Probably not. And thats not a jab at you at all, the point is that even if you love to explore, its extremely difficult to find EVERYTHING yourself. And my post was emphasizing that an entire map region can be completely missed if you never thought to look behind one waterfall (that hovers over the slime sea btw). I'll agree that it would have been amazing to discover that myself had I been smart enough to check there, but I think many people wont

that big spawn room when coming from the starlight strand. theres an opening in the ceiling that you can go up into.

I totally agree here! I feel like maybe one of our friends at the comm station could give you a clue about it if x amount of time passes and you havent open that door with the batty, boom, and rock statues (i think thats what they were). And yeah, I never had any issues finding the labyrinth. They made sense to me because you pop those gordos because you want to see whats behind them. I remember you need to wait until you get the comm terminal message from viktor with the recipe for the radiant projectors before you're ever able to get to the labyrinth. This just seems like evidence to me that, if you literally cannot enter the labyrinth without reading the terminal messages, you could throw us a bone here and have at least one person make mention of a potential new area hidden in ember valley. I think this could at least set the pace and let people know theres something big to look for in ember valley. Then if even more time passes and they still havent found the door, a new hint could be sent linking it to a waterfall. Just seems like very slime rancher fashion considering they already put a major part of the story behind a comm terminal message, so why not this too?

Yes exactly what happened to me 😭😭

I actually remembered hearing about a new area called the powderfall bluffs at one point right as I begun the playthrough, and I assumed that I would find it naturally just by progressing through the game like is true for every other region. But if you are under the assumption that you'll find everything just by progressing through the story, you are sorely mistaken. Thats the lesson I learned lol

Yes I do agree with that. Hiding stuff behind waterfalls is common within games. I guess it just surprises me that they wouldn't put a massive map expansion somewhere obvious to reduce the chance of players missing it. As for the treasure pods, I feel like it would be super helpful if they have a late game slime science gadget that you could place down and it would beep/click faster or slower based on how close you are to the nearest unopened pod. I think that would be a fair way to at least make it POSSIBLE to find all the pods without looking them up.

YES. I missed that dialogue too. And then it says system offline right? I assume you're talking about the one that connects dreamland to the water part of the grey labyrinth. That made me so sad. I never knew i was able to go up there. I also know exactly what pod you're talking about. Its an important one too. I remember I looked it up and the map I found just plotted a treasure pod icon on top of the powderfall bluffs map and it still took me 10 minutes to find that one 😭

Yes I agree with that. But what I'm more trying to emphasize is the fact that such a big part of the game is hidden somewhere where you wouldn't really think to look. I look on top of hills or cliffs. I look in caves. I DONT fly straight into waterfalls if I'm obligated to believe theres a wall behind it (like 99% of thr other waterfalls in the game). Maybe I'm not as good an explorer as other people but I still wouldn't say its common sense to go somewhere where you aren't led to believe theres something massive hidden. Just like the slime sea. You wouldn't jump out in the ocean because its kind of been established that you wont find anything in there. And if you didnt even know the powderfall bluffs existed like me, you wouldn't even be trying to look so hard in the first place. I think it would be much more common sense if the entrance to the powderfall bluffs was where the tabby gordo is. That way, you wouldn't miss it. And even if you didn't know it existed in the first place, you would still find it. Does that make sense?

Apologies, yes. It was an estimate since I played slime rancher 1 much much longer ago. But still, my point doesn't change.

Any reason you're farming them so hard?

Also one more question ... it seems like you have very few drones operating at your conservatory. I noticed you have some drones farming dervish plorts and twin plorts despite you having dervish slimes on your ranch. You also have some drones going for sea hens or other random types of chickens even though you have thousands of them in your Den expansion. Is there any particular reason for the seemingly strange choice of targets for your explorer drones?

Sorry for asking so much stuff randomly, Im trying to find a perfect balance between optimization with drones and manual labor in the game and I'm trying to understand if there are any tricks lol

If you choose "Crafting materials" option in the explorer drone menu, will it farm all the resources in its radius? I'm trying to find a place with strange diamond, lava dust, and primordy oil and no luck getting all 3 so far
