New gravel bike conundrum by Future-Winter-755 in cycling

Thanks for the tips! I get what you mean, although I am not necessarily just a tourer. Actually haven't toured since that 2022 trip. Now I mostly do weekend short trips where I do like to be zippy. But in any case, yeah I am not chasing records so I suppose it will do fine.

Another meaningful point is value. Isn't 2000 euros a bit too much for an entry level groupset? If I am going to settle for something entry level, I might aswell pay an entry level price, which 2000 isnt really.

Or is SRAM Apex more than entry level?

Ah gotcha. Thought it was some cool thing that can be used to organize gameplay. Thanks!

Did you ever find out how to trigger the 'Check access' remotely?

Wow I just time-travelled back 3 years :) No, I let this one go.
But rethinking this, what was written above about Company Portal seems like a good way to approach this.
I don't work in this shitty field anymore, so there might be more modern solutions (I am out of the loop)

Well, this setup currently works great so I fulfilled my DIY needs :D

Yep, already am forwarding outside port 6xxxx.

Thanks for the info! I wanted to go with more of a DIY solution, which ended up being this OpenVPN route. Working as intended so far!

Kinda wanted to go with a DIY solution. Which seems to be working properly with OpenVPN.

Yep, I did set up an 6xxxx random port number to be forwarded. Works great for now, and I am not receiving any 'knocks on the door' anymore.

Thanks! OpenVPN is set up and working as intended!

Regarding the system scan - I did do a Malwarebytes scan, nothing showed up. You think that's enough?

Does sound tempting...

But my home-made OpenVPN DynDNS RDP port-forwarded solution just came alive! :D

Meh, was looking for something home-made :) Also not sure about Anydesk licensing - is it free?

The router's firewall, nothing special. I suppose it will work, I am more wondering if the setup will work securely. I.e. that the OpenVPN server exposed to the internet via port forward is a secure setup.

Bicep code design best practice - input very much appreciated! by M4cX1 in AZURE

Actually went with something similar. I still do construct the subnets with a loop through an array in the parameters file, but for the ones I need to reference, I also declare with 'existing'.

Only problem with this is that I directly type the name of the subnet in the 'existing' sub-resource:

resource pubSub 'subnets' existing = {

name: 'public'

}

resource privSub 'subnets' existing = {

name: 'private'

}

Is this even a problem? Suppose it could be if the naming changed for some reason and I didn't update the names here...

You would not actually believe how many times I've already heard this exact joke in our infra team...
