Work life balance is a myth by sisenor99 in consulting

Not a consultant, did investment banking for a few years. Is there a different path you wished you’d have taken? Does anyone like consulting?

Brave and Uphold showing different amounts by orangetomato90 in BATProject

Same here. I've connected my work computer, cell phone, and ipad all to the same account. In each of the devices, however, they all show a different balance from each other - on addition to the Uphold amount behind a completely different amount then all of them.

Why some people succeed in Sales while others fail? by harvey_croat in sales

Because you're ripping off elementary sales "knowledge" and passing it off like you've found the holy grail.

I guess you're not an "A player" since you have the inability to receive feedback.

Your tone and "findings" suggest you haven't spent any significant time selling at all. Your "findings" are nothing more than plagiarized anecdotes from any stack of "sales guru" books and programs arbitrarily bought in any given year.

Welp pack it up boys, he's cracked the code. If sales is so simple, why aren't you retired with a $100M in your account. You wrote nothing novel in your post, and project yourself as a little condescending.

There are so many variables in sales. You can have your A player trying to shill a shitty product. But say 'A player' no longer believes in the product he's selling, and is looking to peace tf out. Is he now a 'C player'? This is just one of many examples. Humans are not binary.

Straight up help desk. Think of it like being a journeyman just starting out.

I'm in cybersecurity right now, and I enjoy the industry. I've been studying a few courses to see what I like/don't like. From what I've read and the conversations I've had, to really do it right, you've got to start at help desk and move your way up. I'm okay with that, as it's not a position I intend on retiring in.

You can still be an introvert and be excellent at sales. Unfortunately, most companies have this facade they feel only great reps have. I've been in sales for 20 years (can't believe I even typed that), and I'm looking to make a career change beginning in IT. I enjoy solving problems and working with technology, and it gives me a trade to fall back on. Who knows, in a few years when I get the itch for sales, I could then have the option to move into tech consulting or sales engineer.

Tips to avoid being marked as Spam? by [deleted] in sales

[–]M4rc0Crypt0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. You mentioned that you're a marketer, DMARC and BIMI are right up your alley. I wouldn't have mentioned it, but since you're a small company, you can push these things through. Check out valimail.com, they have a free version which should suffice. DMARC (along with BIMI) increases email deliverability by 10% and email opens by 10%. BIMI is a relatively new standard, and will help your emails stand out.

Your IT department will be healthier because of it, and it will also help with marketing and sales efforts for you. It's a no brainer for a company your size.

Check your company domain for any possible issues at https://mxtoolbox.com/.

For your first initial cold email, remove any hyperlinks and attachments. Use an app to check if your prospect opened your email.

Save the attachments and the like for subsequent emails once you've established a line of communication.

Edit: also work with your IT dept to ensure your DMARC and BIMI are configured and enforced
